I wish that I had written down all the stories I heard from inmates over 15 years. In front of their boys, it was all good but when I spoke to them one on one I heard so many sad stories and so many speak of what a fool they had been by hurting other people. So many had regrets and some would break down and cry out of remorse. But as soon as they were back with their boys it was back to business as usual. Have to keep the game face on.

DON'T go to prison ... but if you do, (1) don't snitch, (2) no horseplay, (3) no sex play, (4) don't be over friendly with Guards, (5) don't disrespect a convict (6) Don't run, (7) don't drop the soap ( lol ) and DON'T go back... there are too many do's and don'ts about prison life, so DO consider the outcome of your actions
2 years seems harsh but there was a snitch involved so you know he sang like a bird. Probably pinned shit that he didn't even do and more. smh. If people can't handle the heat without telling don't ride.
Definitely could be wrong about this, but it kinda sounds like he's a snitch...why was he in PC? Why did he want to transfer out of the sweetest prison? Cuz the other inmates weren't mature enough? Story just doesn't add up...
On the one hand, it is a ridiculous human rights violation to imprison someone for two years for stealing an iphone. On the other hand, the young man should have a better answer to "What landed you in prison?" that "I got snitched on". Your theft is overwhelmingly what is responsible for your landing in prison.
People snitch all the time - on friends, family, business partners, fucking strangers...but nobody ever admits to that shit. Sometimes cops scare the hell out of people and intimidate, threaten, or trick them...mostly due to people agreeing to talk and not requesting a lawyer immediately. Cops are not there to help you - they warn you they will use your own words against you in a court of law, no bullshit. DO NOT SAY SHIT TO THE POLICE WITHOUT A LAWYER. NOT ONE FUCKING WORD EXCEPT "I WANT AN ATTORNEY." - even if you are truly innocent and only need to "answer some simple questions" before going home. Some pathetic jailhouse snitches will tell on some poor inmate and get them thrown in the hole or even another charge...just for a cigarette or some fast food. Your so-called "bros" or "fam" or "ride-or-dies" will snitch on you in a minute in order to get out of serving time or a lesser sentence. It is fucking gross.
