I’m so happy to see an actual beautiful plus size women making these types of videos. I see a lot of skinny women showing how to slim the body but they aren’t reality. I can’t tell if it would look good on me bc they are not plus size so I appreciate you so much for showing us plus size women how it’s done. Thank you!!

I loved that you say work with belly instead of against it. I feel I spend so much time hating getting dressed because I’m constantly trying work against my body type to make it fit what I want instead of working with it to look my most flattering.❤❤❤❤❤

Omg! Yes. That was a learning lesson for me. When I stopped trying to fit into things that clearly was too small and too tight on my stomach and started trying and wearing things that visually flattered that area, it changed my entire outlook.

You are so right about following influencers whose bodies resemble your own. I've been doing this for maybe a year or so and it has done SO MUCH for my confidence. I even sometimes watch folks who are bigger than I am. It really gives you a better sense of what will and will not flatter your own body. More importantly, it also normalizes not just existing in a bigger body, but looking GOOD in a bigger body. My husband and I both wear a 2X. He can walk into the regular men's section of almost any store and find his size in nearly any item. Me? I am relegated to small, plus size sections, some random racks that probably don't carry 2X, or special stores just for large women. Society punishes women for being above a certain size. It tells us we shouldn't be seen. Watching confident, beautiful, positive ladies like you has done wonders for my self-image. Thank you!

@mrsritell
@mrsritell 3 месяца назад
@@keyzg6480 I have a premier protein drink in the morning along with some fruit. Usually raspberry, strawberry, blueberry..... Not too much of the sugary fruits. Another premier protein drink or protein broth ( from Unjury) and raw veggie (or all veggies salad) with low cal dressing for lunch . For dinner it is lean meat, and veggies. I limit my carb and sugar intake. But I allow myself one weekend day that I eat what I want, I just have whatever it is in moderation. And try my best to do between 6,000-10,000 steps a day.

@Patti I also was on Cortisone and put on 20kg due to Systemic Lupus. It made me heavier than when I was 9 months pregnant and that awful moon face was so bad that is was hard to look at myself in the mirror. I have always been a size 6 US and it was a shock to me to see such a change. I got the weight off by dancing every night in my pjs to 1980/90’s dance music and lost 20 kg. After menopause I will probably never weigh 57kg again which I was before the cortisone etc. Just want to warn you about the steroids, it caused me to have osteoporosis and I have fractured my spine from sneezing and my ribs doing up my shoes. So please look after yourself and watch the dose if you are still on it. Don’t want to see anyone suffer from it. Keep well. My best wishes from Australia

@@karenglenn6707 I have Addison’s Disease, so steroids are the only thing keeping me alive, unfortunately. I try to keep my dose as low as possible, but when my body is under stress I have to double or triple my dose. I realize that the long term outcome for me isn’t great, so I try to take one day at a time. The steroids also suppress my immune system, so every time I’m around my grandchildren I get sick. And, my husband is a teacher, so he brings home lots of viruses too. He will retire after next year, thank goodness! I also have chronic pain, so the only exercise I can do is walk and lift some light weights. I just try to keep a positive outlook on life, and the people I love don’t care what size I am! @@Patti-1962 I just looked up your illness, which I had heard of, and saw that it’s also an immune problem, as Lupus is. A lot of the symptoms are similar. Have you had a Dexa, or bone density scan, to check the health and integrity of your bones? I did after the first fracture but you could still have the weakening and not know yet. I assume you need to pay for it, from memory it isn’t cheap but mine is free here. Well, you’ve copped something nasty and I hope that you keep well (apart from the bugs etc, from the family). I take immunosuppressants so am paranoid about catching anything, and luckily I’m the only one in the family who doesn’t. But I have severe skin lesions that have put me into hospital as they become disgusting as my body cannot fight infection. My skin makes me look like a meth user, apart from my face luckily. A positive attitude is definitely the best thing, family, my doggies and the garden keep me sane. Hope that you don’t catch anything this winter and wish you the best of health.

@@karenglenn6707 I feel very grateful to meet other people who understand what it's like to be chronically ill. I seem to continue to collect autoimmune diseases, and yes, I have had bone scans. I have an amazing doctor who will start me on the medication when I need it. I'm SO sorry about your lesions, they sound so painful. Have you been checked for hidradenitis suppurativa? Also, my doctor will put me on a long term, low dose antibiotic every once in a while to give my body a break from being sick. I love my dog and garden as well! Your comment on 'Don't hide yourself, you deserve to shine' really hit me. Thank you :) And btw you are absolutely gorgeous and I LOVE your style. xxxxxxxxx

I agree with most of what your saying...underwear can either make or destroy an outfit...I always suggest getting properly fitted bra's by an experienced trained sales assistant...and every 6 months women need to get measured ... Also dresses need to be literally on the knee or below as then you see the better part of your legs...wrap..cowl neck line is the very best for being heavy on top...

Yes ma'am I have learned that ruching is my best friend. However, I would have never thought to size up in a shirt dress and tailor to fit. The shirt dress looks so professional. Love it❤

Just found this channel! Obsessed and so grateful. I only wear what I call my uniform for life. Because I'm tall and have a gut. High rise jeans from torrid and black tank top. In the winter I wear a hoodie. Never knew so many brands had options for our size. God I wish you'd help dress me. But for now I'll keep my 20 black tank tops and 2 pairs of jeans and watch your videos.

Thank You so much for this video. I'm struggling to find my right style. I'm smaller at the top with larger hips, behind and legs. Pear shaped I guess? Your video helped me to think about styling more intentionally than trying to cover up. Now I have a better understanding of what I've been doing wrong. Thank You and you are so appreciated.

I prefer your way that disguises the tummy. Some of the influencers on social media put on ridiculous clothing with it all hanging out.

Oh I love that 'shapeless' dress you were referring to right at the beginning. I'd cut the neckline a bit lower for me though (it helps to balance out the big breast region with my narrow shoulders. Just have to be careful not to go too low on the décolleté area).

Thank you for sharing this video. I love your tips. I was that anti-shapewear girl for the longest time. Then I tried them and bayybeee you can't tell my fluffy self nothing!!!!😂😂 Makes a 1000% difference. Keep doing what you do.

LOVE THIS. There is just not enough out there that shows body types like ours. You look amazing. I am so sick of seeing kibbe body type videos that have stick thin celebrities.

I have recently gained about 40 pounds. I’m around 163 pounds right now and I know that’s not large for some people but for me it’s extremely large When I was younger, I was around 105 pounds and then a couple years ago I got up to 130 which freaked me out and I just keep growing . and my body shape is changing. I’m gonna be 40 here in a couple years. So I was just searching the Internet because I’m struggling to get my shape back no matter what I do what I eat I don’t wanna be miserable and I don’t wanna feel like I don’t look good so this has been the most helpful video I found on the Internet , so thank you thank you thank you!

I have struggled with weight on and off (was an athlete then in my 30s put on weight due to change in lifestyle) and after having a baby it’s been hard to get back my stomach down. I have a large stomach and this was helpful. So many good tips, excited to try. I have Def been trying to hide in all the things you say not to wear. Just want to say you are amazing and so beautiful. Love the positivity. We need more women like you (women who look like you and have a voice like you) ❤

I'm glad I found this video. I have a bunch of empire waist dresses and tops, fit and flare dresses, and high waist jeans. But I've never considered anything body con, I'm short and don't think I could wear that, but I never thought about a kimono. Im gonna see how those look on me

A really hard one to dress is a tiny waist (hour glass figure) with a stomach. Skirts/trousers are either too tight over the stomach but fitted at the waist or wearable over the stomach and loose at the waist and I speak from experience. And it doesn't matter if you are a size 8 (in my early 20s) or a size 24 (now) it is still incredibly difficult to fit. Good video, thank you.
