Love how TG keeps everything in perspective. He is a realist and always stands by the truth in regards to Fitz and Liv love. While at the same time making it clear Mellie is not for Fitz in a romantic sense.
Especially when ut comes to OLITZ. Did you notice he seems more manly (if that's possible), calmer, confident when speaking about Fitz & Liv being together? He use to seem SO giddish, lost for words.
coop4olitz Yes, he is confident and centered by the depth and truth of their love. He believes in their love so I like when he's not afraid to stand in their truth. I only wish Kerry could do the same, she seems to be afraid to stand in confidence in fear of what the fans may say. That is why he mentioned, he does not know if Kerry would agree.
OMG! I so agree with you, I love Tony because he has no fear to express the love Fitz and Olivia have for each other, regardless of what people might think of them in real life so, in turn I feel like he has nothing to hide (there is nothing going on), he is just expressing the obvious chemistry that we all see and love about the show. Kerry on the other hand, tries hard to re-direct focus away from them so much with her vague answers and always introducing "Jake" in the mix, perhaps she wants to reassure her husband that hey, it's just acting.
Salem Raven It's complicated from Shonda's POV because she believes that the show will end when she puts Fitz and Liv together for good, which I think is so far from the truth. A great writer would say the show would just be getting started. Shonda does not know how to write a "power couple" like Frank and Claire on "House of Cards" this is what you call great writing. What Shonda is displaying is what they call "lazy writing" put the characters on a roller coaster ride instead of allowing us to see the "arc" of the character's relationship. Olivia has made it quite clear to Jake that she is in love with Fitz. The operative word you used in describing her feelings for Jake is "care." As Tony stated, they see each other on the deepest level. I get what you are saying about Kerry but I think Tony get's it more than she does, because he knows how to create great shows and write great characters look at his show "The Divide."
Salem Raven Yes I agree it will not work if they marry. They would have to take the show in a whole different direction. I am speaking of giving Fitz a divorce and letting him and Liv be together while she still runs OPA, and he continues his presidency but not marry them. I don't want to see them married not at this point. I want to see them function in a real relationship, she supports and help him to maximize his strengths as president and he does the same for her. We have seen a glimpse of this when she helped him during his first campaign to run for president. Let us see them grow together as a couple and go through the valleys and peaks of a relationship which will evenually lead to marriage in the end. Shonda can end the show after they marry if she wants I would be fine with it.
Why is this even a question? Of course they belong together. Two people who met and fell in love at the wrong time in their lives but that's usually how that happens because its a test of true love. It's a matter of do you fight for it or do you just let it go? These two have hurt each other have walked away and yet they continue to come back and just can;t get enough. They are soul mates. Real love isn't who you can live with. It's who you can't live without.
When the interviewer asked what would his new administration be like since Fitz was elected he said his son was murdered and then right before he mentioned Olivia it was like he wanted to cry cause Olivia has left the planet and with Jake.
It broke my heart I was so mad at her about that he has loved her for 7 yrs being on TV Scandal I miss it so much TG and KW were magical they brought those two characters to life it felt real to me love them both continue success

Mellie never really loved Fitz and vice versa.Their marriage was arranged by their fathers. It was a political marriage . Fitz only ever loved Olivia and vice versa.
I knew that Mellitz relationship had to mature and evolve, just like as Olitz had to evolve, as well. I'm relieved that Mellitz it is not going to be a romantic relationship in Season 4 because it would not have been believeable. Olitz have been through and experienced too much for Mellie and Fitz to suddenly rekindle the romance in their marriage. Yes, Big Gerry did rape her, but I can't see the fact that Fitz now knows about the rape to change Mellie's or Fitz's feelings into undying love. Too much water has run under that bridge. Mellitz will be different in S4, because they have children together and need each other in this time of grief. I, for one, will miss the great Mellitz arguments and fights. Sorry, but I loved that antagonistic relationship. It was fun to watch.
I love all of Tony interviews about Fitz. If you asked Kerri that same question she would be like "whatever shonda and the writers want" girl that is not the answer to the question. smh. kerri is not as smart as I hear. Love her still.
She is very smart actually ! She just doesn't want to feed to much into the rumors about her and Tony out of respect for both of their marriages and also it DOES ultimately boils down to what Shonda wants. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Eboney Jones that’s the thing though, they ask about Fitz NOT TONY and she still always had the same answers during interviews...guess it’s a personaloty difference bc you can tell TG has a bit of romantic idealism to him in the way he’s very expressive while Kerry is naturally more private and guarded...BUT IF IT’S JUST A SHOW WHY NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION STRAIGHT??? That’s more suspicious than anything else, but I try to be respectful.
Art imitating life, these tow are in love and their chemistry makes the show. I believe Kerry marrying the way she did was because she was told too, either marry etc. or you won't work again. Tony's wife looks mean as hell and i believe she has power to do that, not only to Kerry but Shonda, so they made the decision to save Kerry's career.
I don't think she has that kind of power. Tony says she was a set designer. If you look up Kerry's career she was doing quite well before "Scandal ". But, this show has been ground-breaking successful with social media. (Twitter)
