This was super sweet. I highly recommend continuing the series with reactors and their parents. I’d be curious what it would be like with college/parents and adults/parents.
I also couldn't believe it. I've never listened to Metallica (completely not my jam), but I still knew it. And I nearly never know any of the songs in these challenges
I knew teens had very poor knowledge of rock and metal music, but I'm still shocked they didn't even recognize "Nothing Else Matters". Anyway, cool idea, hope you keep it up!
Metallica is still known, just not to kids. Before COVID, they had been on tour for four years straight all over the world and sold out stadiums of at least 50,000 almost every show.
It makes me so happy that of all the artists, the teens knew Selena Quintanilla’s song the most (and then Mariah and Céline). Her legacy lives on. I’m so happy.
Kids don't watch music video stations like the old style MTV. It's now considered disposable so everything in the past is left in the past. I wasn't listening to Metallica or RHCP in the 1990s so I only know a couple of their hits.
But everyone should know something Metallica! Especially Nothing Else Matters! I guess none of them have ever picked up a guitar in their life and gotten to know the classics. I do not listen to rock often. But everyone should know Metallica, ACDC, The red hot chilli peppers, U2, The Cranberries and many more. Those are just absolute classics!
Mr. Jones was such a huge song in 1993 when it dropped. I was a sophomore in high school then and I remember my buddy got a Isuzu Rodeo suv, they were popular then, and he had a system in his truck,it was a very popular thing to do in the 90’s. I remember that the track hit hard in his truck. When I got my license and got my 4 Runner I put a system in it as well and Mr. Jones was a rock song that hit hard with bass. 2 Pacs track “Violent” is a track that hits really hard as well. If you have a system in your ride play Nemesis Munchies for your bass “Drop the Bass” is the name of the track. WARNING ⚠️: That track hits really hard.
I doubt it. She might not even know Photograph is a song by Nickelback. Probably wasn't even thinking about Nickelback. Photograph is also a Def Leppard song, but I seriously doubt she knows that.
You know being a person that grew up as a teenager in the 90s we really had some great music it was such a great amalgamation. Where you can just basically listen to anything in Jam
hey hey, i had to tell my mom and dad about metallica and rhcp actually, because they grew up in asia. it's all good, man. as long as you get to discover them
@@yikushieda i mean, how can you not ever have heard nothing else matters?? even people who doesnt like metallica or their music knows nothing else matters!
I had to pause the video to comment. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!! The bond with parents is amazing. I'm so ready to have this with my toddlers. More of these please!!!
Yeah I hear you there. My kids are 12 and 14 and could name most Metallica songs. They've been listening to Metallica since they were born. My kids could probably get 95% of songs on these reactions.
I was born in 1975 and should really know the 90’s music but I realize the early 90’s was when me and all my friends really started listening to country music more than rock.
