In honor of Black History Month, I wanted to take this time to focus on one of the most important films for black culture. Today we will be looking at Spike Lee's 1989 masterpiece, Do The Right Thing. Even after 30 plus years the film is still relevant in terms of issues within our society today, but more importantly it still provokes conversations about these topics. The film is know for its commentary on racial disparities within America and around the world. While we will be touching on these, the main thing we will be looking at is Why Mookie broke that window.
