6:46 this always happen red to me every single time my crosshair would be diagnold every time. But I still get away with murder every time. And I’m a bronze 2 for some reason. 9:48 cypher and Killjoy are very technical because they have setups to hard deal with non appearance utility for attackers or defenders as well. Unless you guess right or a flanker/lurker.
As a Silver, I can confidently say that counter-strafing helps me time my shots better, so I don't miss because I fired too early. Clearly, experience could fix this, but every other game I've played lets you aim while moving if you ADS, so... Yeah, it's useful for some people. Also, I do play Sova on Split. Not many lineups, but his utility (esp. shock darts and ult) are still very useful if you do them freehand.
6:30 on that sort of note, ever since i got a HOSAS setup for other games, im actually now incapable of moving my aim in Val and other fps games in a horizontal line if i have my mouse and mousepad directly next to my keyboard. with my current setup, my arm is actually at nearly a 45 degree angle away from my body because i have my right flight stick between my keyboard and mousepad this is one of the main reasons that i simply just cant play whenever im travelling and using my laptop as opposed to my pc lmao
for me it was more hours in the game. day 1 my aim, crosshair placement, sensitivity, movement was really good but i had no idea what the agents did and how people played
14:54 as an omen main, i dont really like that play. you're exposed both in front and behind when you peek, and unless you specifically blind for this play, anyone on the boxes will hear the tp. there is a similar play i like doing on Haven, where i smoke heaven and the box in the middle of A site, and double tp to hell. same concept, but theres a reason why the split version is much riskier than the haven version. on split, even if you time your entry tps with your team entering site, theres still the guy backsite to deal with. if facing a team with omen and that smoke is tossed, im first flashing main and then looking on top, possibly also spamming the smoke a little. on Haven A site, when i double TP to hell as my team entries onto site, when i exit my second TP, anyone in hell or behind the middle box is also having to deal with my teammates, forming a bit of a crossfire. you really dont get the same sort of thing on Split. if i were to make a play like this, id use my blind to hit the cubby area backsite (or whatever its called. basically where im tp'ing to), and use a double tp to get on the boxes and behind anyone playing there
11:20 no this not how it works, it also depends on the position of enemy as well as the position of flash. if do get blind its for a short moment and i think it would not matter much until your enemy is also flashed. as a bonus ask your teammate to get more attention
11:05 Yeah, that's actually how the combo works. However, I've found that as I've climbed ranks, it becomes less effective as people become better at dodging the flash and flicking back to me. Because of this, I've been teleporting early a lot of the time, since they'll end up turning towards me when they hear the teleport, which causes them to turn towards the flash. It's been pretty successful around diamond. But of course, this also requires some good game sense and knowledge based on where your flash is going to end up relative to your tp, and turning away from the flash as you teleport. Also a pro-tip with Yoru: when you teleport, always strafe. It makes you much harder to hit when you're in that vulnerable state where you can't pull out your gun.
first time I played brim I was drunk and stood in spawn for half a round for almost every round trying to figure out how to smoke and still didn't figure it out
I don't think counter strafing is required in Valorant because the characters in the game stop really fast when we let go of our movement key unlike CSGO where you will move a little distance before stopping.
1:55 I 100% agree with egg. I'm an omen main and he's absolutely great. Nobody gets angry for instalocking, nobody complains for smokes. Nobody complains if you bot frag, if you topfag you just say ggwp and move on with your free elo
