Have a "in case I can't talk file" with all important docs i.e. copy of your passport, medical aid info, birth certificate, will, copy of your life insurances, funeral cover etc. and leave it with a trusted family member or friend or lawyer or banker etc. So that should anything happen when abroad that person has access to this.
