Do This To Germinate And Grow Tiger Nut (Chufa) Fast//how to
How to easily regrow tiger nut from store-bought tiger nut with just water. Grow tiger nut the easy way by re growing organic tiger nut you buy at the grocery store - indoors on your windowsill OR outside in your garden with just water. For tiger nut lovers.
Cyperus Espculentus also known as tiger nut, in Yoruba it is called Ofio, in Hausa it is called Aya, in Igbo it is called Aki Hausa or Imumu. It's a crop of the sedge family wide spread across most of the world.
To germinate tiger nut - Place tiger nut bottom in water, change the water daily and roots/green shoots should start to grow in about a week. Plant in the garden once the weather warms up.
As space has become available and the tiger nut have sprouted with roots, lets plant them to keep the bounty harvest coming. Here are some tiger nut that has been sitting in water for about 10 to 14 days and they look like they are eager to get out of the water and be potted, so lets get on and plant them. First top up the nutrient level with some compost and then plants the germinated tiger nut spacing them manually 6-8cm between germinated seeds. Water in well.
Tiger nut can be found wild as a weed or as a crop in some other countries, tiger nut is considered a weed it is both an annual and perennial plant. Tiger nut became popular when researchers found out that it has high nutritional values for human health it is very common in the northern part of Nigeria because this is where it is mostly cultivated. Tiger nut contains essential minerals like, calcium, magnesium and iron, necessary for bones, tissues repair, muscles and the blood stream. They are known to prevent cardiovascular diseases, it is also a good source of vitamins E and C. Tigernut is a good source protein, cures erectile dysfunction, controls diabetes, acts as a good remedy for indigestion as well as being rich in fibre it's many uses means it can be prepared or consumed in several ways, it can be consumed fresh or dried, grounded into a powder form or any other way deemed fit for consumption.

Thank you so much for watching and subscribing 🙏 To answer your question, yes the store-bought multi-purpose compost used is specially prepared to ensure the best growing conditions for the plants. The unique colour comes from a mix of organic compost and natural fertilizers that enrich the soil, promoting healthy growth. Where is your location? I hope this explanation helps?

Multi-Purpose Compost 60 Litre amzn.to/3VLPWOj It's always good to treat the soil with organic matter to boost its nutrient content and improve plant health, especially when reusing it.

if you change the water every day the seeds will be moved every day and so won't they become confused which direction to grow - which direction is UP?
