Hey, I've started my masters in physics already here in Pakistan. I've been wanting to apply for Fulbright for quite a long time but couldn't muster up the courage to do so. I have never even opened a GRE book but have started following your videos from last couple of days and it brought back that spark again. I am eager to apply for it, can you please guide me what's the next step I must take? Should I start preparing for it and give a GRE next year or will I be able to give one this year if I start my preparation right away? I want to run the odds for masters through Fulbright as I've just finished my first semester here and I am not really satisfied. My CGPA in BS was 3.18 and I have some work experience. Will I be able to get through this year? Or should I wait for next year and apply. Please do guide, I'll be waiting for your response. Thank you.
Hey Maryam, Thanks for the message. So GRE does take 3-4 months to fully prepare and given that your GPA is 3.18 so you should target somewhere around 165 in math and 154 in verbal. Moreover, you can apply for a Masters if you want to apply this year or you can also apply for the PHD if you apply next year. Either way is ok and it all depends how long it would take you to prepare and take the GRE exam. On average it does take 3-4 months. Also if you apply this year for Fulbright then do not show that you are already doing a Masters here since it wouldn't be of much benefit to your applicaton.
