I play a lot of bluegrass and country. using the 6 and 9 is my move to keep the bass interesting in what some may consider boring genres for bass.

I knew Oteil from the Colonel Bruce Hampton and the Aquarium Rescue Unit days. Great band if you've never heard them. Bruce died a while back. We always were Bacharach when they came to Memphis and would visit in Atlanta lot.

You have to pay the $400 dollars and it still won’t be explained to you but the bald glove man will go on vacation with his 3 rugrats on your dime. Click bait trash bass lesson. So much better lessons out there then this . When Ian started charging 50 bucks for 4 hx stomp presets I lost all respect for him. I used to respect him now he’s a money grabbing meatball.

What the hell is a interval and what does he mean by minor 3rds or major 3rds. Is he taking the 3rd note from a major scale and then playing the 3rd note for a minor scale? I swear Scott’s bass lessons are great but for beginners they use so much terminology that idk and I get stuck. Rly wish I could get past this barrier I’m at

interval is the distance between notes. a maj third is the distance between root of major scale and the third of major scale. minor third means you just play the third a semitone lower. hope this helps

like what Oteil said, learning a six string allows you to hear chords and how they relate to music. most bass players have inferior ears compared to say, a piano player. your statement is out of pure ignorance .
