We have a rescue who has developed into a VERY nervous reactive boy and yet I feel I need him as much as he needs me. We're going to take this journey together and build a trust and bond so he can become a happier, calmer boy.

We’ve been working with a behaviorist (who also uses games) for our dog with genetic anxiety for 8 months now and this is just the start of the journey. A very long journey I hear. Just yesterday I was texting with her because I was so overwhelmed. She said pretty much what you did. No, I didn’t chose this type of dog, it wasn’t what I signed up for but we are here and he’s going to teach me so much. I am 14 years into this journey and I can definitely say Jack made me a better dog owner and trainer. There will be ups and downs....but it is a very rewarding ride. You're not alone....
Your remarks about getting the dog we need really resonated with me. I adopted a rescue GSD who has been very reactive and fearful of almost everything because she was kept in a crate constantly, like a zoo animal, with no experiences for the first 10 months of her life. It is a challenge, but also the most rewarding experience of my life. Your games have been incredibly helpful and I am so glad I found your programs.

I'd love to see more videos from you guys on this topic! This was really helpful, made me feel a bit better about my struggles with my reactive dog - working hard on it with him every day but still sometimes need reminding that there's a light at the end of tunnel :)
Thank you for this video, my European rescue has become increasingly more anxious and reactive over the past 6-9 months and I am constantly feeling overwhelmed, even with weekly follow ups with a clinical behaviourist. I just don't know where to start.
