Happy Father's Day Daddy O oh, I was thinking you could possibly just cut and clip one of Blues wings and that might taper him down and get him to go in but you know peacocks naturally just never want to go in there like guinea hens they want to sleep on the buildings and the trees it's just normal for them. He will be a very big bird so, you probably could start just letting him stay out overnight we had ours forever and he always slept in the tree come down in the morning he'll stick around he won't go nowhere especially with that P Hen running around
Except not go to bed.... 😍 Wonder how long it'll take them to figure it out,,, that they have no choice.... I know the feeling having to always help them in... What a pain in the butt... but whata success when they get it...
I had 4 fathers: 1)my daddy who gave me 1/2 of my genetics and raised me; 2)my father in law, who was a butcher by trade and he trained me in proper handling of meats; 3) a gentleman who was a janitor at the technical school; he was protective of me being the only female enrolled in the school and living at the school and 4) my best girlfriend’s father who had timely advice while I was in medical school. I am now in my 6th decade of life and all 4 of my fathers have died. Sadly humans do not last. I miss them all; each added much to my life and Father’s Day is like Memorial Day in that it is a day of remembrance & respect.
Happy Father's Day! Johnny Cash is a handsome rooster! My dad passed away August 21, 2018. This is the first Father's Day without him so it's been tough for my mom and I but we persevere. I have the greatest memories of our many fishing trips and weekend projects to cherish though. Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers!
40 yrs ago, my father let me keep a Guinea that I found randomly in the bush . We lived in the city, but my dad made a spot in the shed for him. The Guinea went everywhere with me, and even rode on my bike handlebars. He was bonded to me I guess, because he never tried to leave. I never laid eyes on another Guinea until 35 yrs later, while on a farm. So VERY crazy that I found him then. So, I thank my dad for letting me keep him. He hears me from beyond, so love on your dads while they are here !
We also have peacocks who would not go in at night. I solved this by walking a full length mirror backwards into the coop. Frank would follow the mirror right in every night. Try it...might work.
My father was a good hunter. He was a great shot, despite not having fingers (just stubs) on his right hand! He was patient with me and finally, he said, "Hon, I don't think you are going to be a shooter. (I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn) However, you are the best dog handler my friends and I have ever had!" So yes, I went on the hunts. I managed 8-12 dogs of various breeds for hours. To me it was fun and I thank my father for recognizing not just my limitations, but also my special abilities. He's been gone now for a long while, but yesterday I thanked him for being there when I needed him and for his encouragement too.
Yep, as soon as I heard that I came to the comments. Lucky you got in first Mark, I don't know what I would have said but it wouldn't have been as nice as yours!
Perfect example of how you can still be amazing parents with challenged children! You guys are awesome and your children are so sweet. Love your videos! Thanks for your hard work! 💙
My stepdad is a good man. He stepped in when my biological father refused to. My stepdad taught me how to care for cars, shoot a gun, taught me how to work hard and play hard. Even though he never thought he would be raising two teen girls, he did his best.
My father was the family chef when he wasn't traveling for his job. He taught us how to garden and loved growing roses and bearded Iris. He taught us all how to fish as soon as we could hold a pole and loved playing in the water with us. He would take us bird hunting with him too. Not many girls that I knew ever got to hunt with their dads back then so that was pretty cool for me. He was also a WWII veteran, a Marine who loved this country and instilled that love in my two brothers and me. Though he was often gone for work we knew above all that he loved us. He wasn't perfect but did his very best and taught us to be honest in our dealings with others.
I know you probably won’t see this, that I’ll just get lost in the crowd. When I heard you say to wish my father HFD and maybe tell you something about him I felt compelled to say a word about my stepfather. My real father is still in my life too but my stepfather is so awesome he deserves praise. He’s such a gentle man my stepmother tells me how much she respects him. I don’t think anyone does not like him. He came down with Alzheimer’s about 2 years ago and it’s probably the worst thing to lose a love one too. It’s like he’s slowly disappearing from us. Any tomorrow will be rough but I want to proclaim my love for him.
Happy Father's Day! My father died in 2002 and I miss him more every day. He was a true renaissance man. He had a lovely place in Nova Scotia before moving to Vermont. He had pigs, sheep, chickens, and a great garden which he used to can things from. I learned my love of gardening and cooking from him. He was the wisest man I've ever known.
Why 3 upset faces? He's so smart & they're awesome pare ts to make sure he drinks to stay hydrated when he's exercising on a hot day! These kids are outside 100% of their free time running, playing & doing chores!! 👏👍👌
@@joanneweiss3864 I thought those were the crying laughing faces, I was cracking up lol. My fault for being lazy and just copy/pasting a face. I didnt realize how they looked on the mobile app, I made sure to edit them.
Happy Father’s Day to you and your flock of male birds. My dad is going to be 90 yrs old in August. He lives by himself and can fully take care of all his own needs. He just paid my house off (10 yrs early ) so I don’t have to struggle to keep it from month to month. I raised my boys here and this house has so many amazing memories. My dad is amazing.
Happy Father's Day to you! I miss my dad; he was a musician (Jazz and Swing, mostly) throughout his entire life, but he also worked in radio and was an accoustics specialist for the government for many years; he taught me to love Nature and music, to fish and woodwork and make things and to never be afraid to try anything new. I grew up in a house filled with love and a lot of laughter, and nobody ever said "you can't do that because you're a girl" to me, never. I wish everybody was as lucky!
Happy Fathers day to all great dad's, Here is a little of my story. My Mother left when I was just over a year old, I have always been upset about that, I had nothing to do with her till my 6th Birthday, when all I wanted was to see her, so my amazing dad contacted her and she said she would come to my birthday. So on my birthday I was so excited to see her as any young Boy would be... she never showed up (No message no nothing). I will always remember the sadness I felt after this. Moving on a few years between (11-13) years old. My dad had taken me to the local fair (Brisbane Ekka) where i saw her for the first time in along long time... Once she had noticed me she quickly turned around and disappeared into the crowed of people. They story's about my mother could go on but my aim of telling this story is not to feel sorry for myself but to thank my Dad. Who no matter what has always been there for me. Anything I've needed he has provided. He is my Best friend. It has been 20 years without a mother. But it's been 20 amazing years with the greatest dad I know. Never Forget how important Family is :)
My dad was diagnosed with ALS 2 years ago so things have been hard but I’m extremely lucky I get to see my dad every day and make more good memories together. Happy Father’s Day to all you dads!
What I like the most on your videos is to see what a wonderful family you guys are raising. Your kids are having the best childhood parents could ever give to their children, they will never forget these wonderful years on the farm.
Happy Father's day...I love Bamboo and all your birds. My Dad passed 16 yrs ago when he was 89 and I miss him dearly. He was a great father and he loved father's day too. I am so glad your boys get along..I know my older brothers did not get along very well. Have a great father's day:)
Dang. If only this sponsorship was a few weeks ago I could've used your channel when I placed my order. However we do love SimpliSafe! Also love watching your family! Happy fathers day!
Happy Father's day. My dad sadly has been dead since 1999. But my husband is one of the best Dad's there is. Our son was 7 when we married but Troy is the only dad he has ever known and the two of them are so much a like and now with our 21 wedding anniversary coming up on June 20th and our son's 28th birthday on June 17th it is so amazing to see the young man our son has become and the influence that Troy has had on his growing up was the best thing I could ever have asked for. Sadly though one of our daughters and I mean one of our two cats Calli and Gracie from the same litter, well Gracie has liver cancer and has surgery on 6/27. My husband has taken so much time and done so much research to make sure we do the right thing and that is having surgery to remove the tumor which was found by just doing an extensive blood work on the girls in March at their yearly. With only on elevated liver enzyme in the panel and the pill not curing it we went for an extensive ultrasound which found a tumor and the biopsy done by CT Scan found the cancer. So he is taking the day of surgery off and has the following week off so that we can care for her at home, now he is a doctor so we are more lucky than most but we don't have pets we have daughters and they are family. So I am so proud of my husband. He not only cares for us but some many others in his work.
My father is actually a small farmer too!! And one of the reasons I love watching your show. He does chicken layers and meat and turkeys and always lambs, sometimes pigs and occationally 2 cows. Huuge garden and a tonne of berries. If we lived in the same Province, I would be there often! I want chickens one day. Happy fathers day dad! I love you!
I worry about your boys because of the Emu's. The older Emu's get the more aggressive and mean they get. A grown emu can rip a grown man apart with their claws. Steve Irwin's father got a terrible injury from a Emu. I know you hand raised your emu's but Please, Please be careful. ❤
You run a very clean & organized farm. You & your wife have great communication skills and it reflects on your lovely children. Handsome & smart young men!
Hope you're going to change that PIN after showing it twice... 😜 Great video as usual! Are you editing them yourself? Did you learn it anywhere or did you just go for it? You're really having a great sense for rhythm and style!
Hello from TN! Great video. Everyone should be with their Fathers, if at all possible! My Father died when I was 10 months old. I never knew him, never remembered hearing his voice. I think it would have been much worse, missing him, if I could remember him! Better and worse! I hope ALL the great Fathers out there, have a great Father's Day!! GOD bless
My dad is fighting a hard fight against cancer. I’m more thankful than ever that I can spend this father’s day with him. If I had to guess, I’m sure he’d say this has been the hardest year of his life thus far. ❤️ him 🙏🏻
My dad used to always go out and band birds for the Audubon Society and on occasions I'd help! So I got to hold birds like red tail hawks, great horned owls, and hummingbirds and so many others! It was quite a unique pleasure that not many get to experience!
You are the most wonderful parents children could ever hope to have. This is apparent in how the children are learning to live in an environment that is so healthy, natural, and nuturing.
Cringey Spell Card I’m terrible at spelling the name of those beautiful chickens ! Thank you for correcting me ! I appreciate it ! Hoping to add a couple of those to my flock one day!
My dad is...unfortunately, a really not-so-great guy (he's the reason I have C-PTSD). Seeing dads like you, who are involved and supportive and engaging with your families in more than just financial ways, is such a breath of fresh air and reminds me that there are good dads out there. Thank you for reminding me of that and being a good dad. I hope your father's day was awesome and I hope your family is doing well :)
happy fathers day. high-✋🏻 uriah and eli. im about to sleep when notifs from you pops-out on my phone screen,so i decided to watch it first before heading to sleep.goodnight❤️
My father was my hero, my mentor everything. Please give hugs to moms, daddies, family, friends all loved ones. You just never know when God decides it's time for them to go back home. He's been gone 18 yrs but seems like yesterday. God Bless you all for your films and showing others what it's like to have a loving family! Bamboo for president!!!
Happy Father’s Day to you, great dad to your kids. My dad was the greatest dad of all time as well, miss him so much but he knows he is missed I’m sure. God bless you, your entire family and all those lovely animals on your farm. Blessings and enjoy your day!
Happy Father’s Day to you! I love to watch you with your boys and can see they are happy and picking up so much about farm life with you. My dad was a wonderful man and father. He had four daughters, so he was really outnumbered, but he had a background in theater so he was great at things like doing our hair and picking out clothes for us for special occasions. Both my parents were very terrific people and I miss them very much. Tell your viewers to be sure and call their dads or visit them, and if they have passed on, say a prayer for their role I. Their lives. Even a bad dad can at least teach us what we don’t want to pass on, but a good dad is golden.
You guys and the children and all the animals are truly amazing. Thank-you so much for giving me a real inside look at life on a farm. I think it is so amazing the chickens hatching the peacocks. I cant tell you how much I wish I could visit your family and see all the birds you raise. Thanks to "SimpliSafe" for their sponsorship. Hugs.....;)
Wonderful video Happy Fathers Day to a great dad, thats you!The whole family is so nice to see always. Was interesting to see all the dad birds, fun idea worked really well.Beautiful animals so cared for is good to see!My grandpa raised me on a farm in Michigan. I loved him very much.I miss him everyday💕Thanks for caring about everything that you do.Your kind heart shows through.
OMG!!! It's not just the emus that are growing like wild. The children are getting so big. Even the little one is growing so fast. Thanks for the video and look forward to more. 😘💓💕
We have 16 roosters in our pasture right now. I am waiting until some of them get older to see who I want to keep and who has to go. Around here people give their roosters away because you can't get rid of them. There are a few breeds you can sell but most not the case. Probably chicken soup at our house. Hope ya have a happy Fathers day!
Vexitory I have silkies, 4 of them and one Ayam Cemani. The silkies are a gentle loving breed and my Ayam is a friggin NUT! The Ayam is a squirrely thing that likes to jump and land on my head.
I work part time with my father in law installing home and business alarms. Love family run business. Awesome video. keep up the good work and we love watching all your videos.
I would love to one but the neighbors dog will eventually killed them..... 😢 such beautiful beautiful birds and nobody noticed their value except you guys.
