I Got a Pet Walking Fish (literally)

I just figured out that there's a species of fish that is able to WALK ON LAND... literally. So I bought one, built a home for it, and kept it as a pet. I did all sorts of things like feed it live insects, and even built a parkour course to test it's jumping abilities. Watch to the end to see all that awesome stuff!

I bet if you get Franklyn muddy, he might feel more comfy out of water. I think that is why they are muddy in the wild, it keeps their skin moist longer while out of water. Just an observation. Yeah, I said moist. 😝

Mudskippers have mud in their name for a reason. Mudskippers uses mud to moist their skin so that they can breath through their skin and skip around to get more mud. I think.... That's what I remember hehe😅

Yeah that’s true, but in a very small setup like I got, it’s not super important for it to be mud everywhere, as long as the floor is super moist and water is easily accessible

You're doing great, my dude!! Your next build, consider hiding the hot glue with dirt or rock crumbles. You can sprinkle it on while it's still hot, or even super glue it later. He definitely looks like a Franklin. 💙💙💙

Just Subbed, Great Vid! If you didn't know, mudskippers actually come from swamy/mudded areas such as those found in the amazon. The reason why you can't find them in your local PetSmart is because they are exotic and not many people really buy them (which they should!).

Dude no way that's good for the mollies OR the mudskipper. Mollies are quite active fish and that's just not enough space for them. Also, an aquarium has to run for 2 weeks minimum until you can add the fish. I don't know much about mudskippers, but just for the mollies sake I'd reconsider your setup

i have a walking (bony) fish as a pet too, a hermans tortoise. Many people (wich are walking bony fish too) with pets have walking bony fish as pets like for example: cats, dogs, reptiles (including avian dinosaurs aka birds), other mamals.
