I find it confusing to hear the term awareness. Whenever I am not sleeping, I am aware. I might be mostly aware of my thoughts but I am aware. I don't think it helps to change to use the term conscious. It's really a matter of what we are aware OF. There is much more beyond thoughts. We can be aware of what is there besides thoughts, which is first the sensations and past that is just the sense of beingness. That is where the waking up happens.
you are aware of your toughs when you perceive thoughts as just thoughts but if you are immerse and following them your awareness is on the move and not in awareness.
@@yanbibiya Really? Not even the first sentence? Do you think there is nothing that is not thoughts? If there is, wouldn't that be beyond thoughts? Are sensations thoughts? Aren't sensations present along with thoughts, or sometimes without them? Have you ever sat still and tried to be aware of what else is there when you aren't paying attention to thoughts or sensations in your body? Are thoughts, sights, sounds, sensations, and smells all there is?
@@traceler Whom are you talking to? What is the difference between perceiving thoughts as just thoughts as opposed to following them? I have an idea but I'd like to hear your take.
