Finally! Someone explained the differences of the courting/dating system in Kor. and Phil. Thank you for making this content. I've learned a lot.

I think there is a huge division when it comes to the dating culture in the Philippines. What you've mentioned was a dating experience for liberated or westernized Pinoys. A lot of Filipino men are liberated, hence the testing the waters before committing acts. However, a lot also conform to the conservative dating in which men need to go through a strict and systematized process of courtship or "panliligaw" in Filipino.

In the Philippines, when a guy pays for your meal it’s instantly considered as “I like you” the only time a guy or your friend will pay for your meal is if they’re rich lol 😂.

I married with Filipino. But all my best friends married with Koreans. So what I can see. One of big difference with Korean husband and filipino husband. Filipino husband more bonding with family and wife than Korean husband. Hahaha lol 😂 My husband wants to bring me even his official meeting or official trip.😂 I think Filipino guy more sweet ♥️ even married 🇵🇭

From my experience naman, there are still a lot of Filipino guys that are conservative (especially w their parents) mostly in the province.. I think, mas adopted kasi yung being westernized sa big cities kaya ganun tho hindi ko naman gini-generalize but yeah, may mga ganung instances nga.. And sa topic of courting naman, yep.. from watching kdramas and having korean friends, I noticed that there's really a biiig difference between Korea and Ph specifically in courting... There's this tradition kasi before, long long ago, when the Filipino guys used to court Filipinas by "harana" and my grandma told me that when a guy touches you, even it was just accidentally, you'll end up marrying him as soon as possible, sobrang conservative... So what I understand why there's this phase of courting here in the Philippines is to know each other better before entering into a relationship because they are serious or wanna make it more serious compared to fling fling lang.. Filipinas can also reject them if they don't like the guy sa unang meet, buuuut they tell them right away.. for some they give excuses lol haha or because most of us wanna focus on studies muna, we called it "basted" when you reject the guy.. on the other hand, even if you don't like him or not ready yet but the guy really likes you and is eager to show his true feelings and intentions to you, girl, you are so lucky then! he's willing to wait and court you until you develop your feelings for him.. and that's the other reason of the existence of courting here in ph haha... You seem so nice and you deserve a serious guy ㅠㅠ I'm sorry that you met those proud af of having foreigner gfs.. I hope you meet them na soon kasi I know that marami ring nagkakagusto sa inyo but I think, they're still finding some courage to confess haha.. natotorpe pa sila... and oh.. if this guy introduces you to his family/clan, he's more likely serious to you .. please make more vlogs with anna eonni please..감사해요~

Kaya pala nung college ako noon, mga 15 some years ago, na medyo nagsisimula pa lang mga Korean students magaral ng English sa Pinas. Halos lumuwa mga mata ng mga binatilyong Koreano na kasama ang 1 older Korean host at 1 Pinoy. Di namin sila kilala pero talagang di ko makalimutan mga shocked na mukha nila. Kse yung mga barkada namin na mga lalaki bumeso sa lahat sa aming girls eh malaki group namin. Typical chill night out hangout spot with inuman...pero dyosme buong gabi namin sila nakikita nalingon at nanunuod sa barkada namin.

It's all about compatibility and connection. The novelty of aesthetics fades incredibly fast post the honeymoon period. And always remember boys and girls, the grass will always appear to be greener on the other side.

Whether it's a Filipino or Korean guy, it's your happiness that matters most. Hope your mr right find you... Or maybe he's already there you just overlooked because you're looking for some one else....anyway, stay healthy and safe!!!

In Korea, if koreans lived in other countries for long years, they will think that you are a foreigner. Unlike in the Philippines, even if you live in any countries, you are still considered as Filipino.. as long as you have filipino blood. This is one of the difference din

I was guessing your conclusions would be Korean guys. Glad I was wrong, you made a lot pinoy guys real happy. As you both know living there the Philippines is an immersive culture. People are friendly, inviting and accepting of foreigners and Filipinos see you as Filipinos. Good choice. I had Korean friends here in the US when I was in high school, great guys, taught me Tae Kwon do. Then we taught them Arnis. Filipinos and Koreans….good combo. You won’t know a person in only 3 meetings , that’s why you got to know them first for few weeks or months , kasi masakit pag d pala kayo nag work out , at least you know kung compatible kayo.

I am Filipino and happily married to my Korean wife..three beautiful children later, and still learning our cultural differences. It’s true that Filipinos are attached to our Family and that’s a good thing, IMO.

In my perspective, serious guy will be proud that his girlfriend is a foreigner and will try everything to prolong the relationship. There is a trend, "chinitang nakaglasses". I'm a Filipina. just sharing and help you explain also... Attitude & Characters of Fil Guys are very TRUE. They are so "KURIPOT" so totally TRUE. Unless its their birthday, got a job, 1st salary, sweldo na!, their getting married or sya ang taya! But some are not. My past jobs, our boss is so nice. He always pay for our snacks. > Relationship. Introducing to their family is our Culture of "Respect." If you don't do this, you will be scolded and you will have a long long talk with your mother. > They want their daughter to be visited in their house from courting, dating, into a serious relationship. Guys bring flower for his girl and chocolate for her parents or siblings. And also getting to know the family as well. Sometimes along the way... they never meant for each other. Filipino guy can wait even 10 years while serving or trying to please the parents of the girl they love. The Filipino guys are not all rich, it is in their mentality of being humble and kuripot, depending of their upbringing, influences and province. their expectations on Korean Girls are like all Koreans are rich and they will pay for your dinner or whatever. Beware of the Filipino players they have a one track mind, if you know what I mean. I had a Korean Girlfriend and Japanese also in the past, they always pay for everything. I've dated a korean, Filipino and Korean-American guys. There are big difference. I dated a Korean guy when I was in highschool. He was not straightforward at all. Completely different from the k-dramas I watched 😅. He was more on the shy side and had trouble being affectionate. I never met the parents either. The Korean Americanare was a bit traditional but more American in the way they date. I met his parents and even went to family events. The Filipino guy was very malambing. I really like the way Pinoys court. Although it's not the same during my grandma's generation but i still get the feels when I thought about it 😂 compared to other guys I've dated but being 1/4 Pinay I was already familiar with the dating culture. Which race is marriage material? It really depends on the person. We can't really pick who we fall in love with just cross our fingers that we end up with someone we are compatible with.

I''m a Filipino and I'm also amazed how the Philippines shifted from a very conservative country to being more liberated than Americans now. If you look back or study the Filipino men and courtship culture just a few years before, it's the total opposite. Although, some parts of the Philippines maintain that conservative culture.

I don't know if there's "courting system" in the Philippines. Filipinos are individualistic. Everyone is different. That's why there's such thing as "mutual understanding".

Korean family values are very great. I remember the Korean family + extended hired me as all subject tutor were so amazing. Teaching hs 4 kids. didnt reach out to them before I left for US in 2005.
