We are almost the same. I hate chats, video calls, or even phone calls. I dont go out quite often. I like being alone or with my sister when I go out so I think dating is not really for me. I have few friends as well. I graduated college NBSB 😂 . There is this guy who really prove that he is very sincere with his intentions to me but I said no. I rejected him for a couple of times but he still push with it until the courtship lasted for more than 2 years! But I fell in love with him along the way. Now we just celebrated our first anniversary last August 7❤❤❤ Just wait for Gods perfect timing and makakahanap ka din ng katapat❤

Courting is not like 썸. 썸 is when you have something with the other person. While courtship has no certainty that the person being courted has the same feelings towards the person courting. Also, you can be rejected even if you courted for a long time. 썸 is like M.U. or mutual understanding.

Traditionally courtship in the Philippines is not about making it official. Courtship is the guy putting his best foot forward in the hopes of making the girl like him the same way and eventually fall in love with him as he is to her. There is no definite time as to when the girl says “yes” to the guy, it can take months or years. Actually po, when i was in teenage life some of guys from other province came to our house for panliligaw. In our family akyat ligaw or sasadyain ka mismo sa bahay niyo para ligawan nag exist talaga siya. Sa province ko po existing po ang ganyang way ng panliligaw. 😊 My first time i experienced it, was when i was in grade 6. Diyos ko as in diko alam kung paano ako makikipag usap sa lalaki na as in totally stranger. 😂 Plus i was just 13 years old. But my mom said na intertain ko lang ng maayos bilang bisita. Nakita lang pala niya ako sa daan. Tapos nag decide na siya mag akyat ng ligaw. Sheeesh! 😂😂😂

I love the detail in how you discuss the korean side of things. The etymology, acronyms, how it is written in korean, how it is pronounced in its romanized form, the right accent. It is like learning something that can be really of use but at the same time the pressure to learn like in academic setting is not there. It's a leisurely way of learning the Korean language and how it is written. BTW, reto in the Philippines is more common in older generations (I think), because of the absence of social media. And friends will only "reto" someone if that certain friend openly expresses his or her desire to have a SO.

Courtship here in PH really depends on how the guy makes effort to pursue the woman he likes.Your asking how long shld the guy be courting it depends if the woman feels that he is the one and his actions shows his sincerity so say YES and be a couple!!!
