The exhaust comes out the side to reduce length which increases exhaust flow.

@@RetroCarsForever In the same vein of "dangerous-yet-exhilarating", I would have loved to see an 80s or early 90s Porsche 911 (especially a turbo or something with a whale-tail/duckbill) in the mix here. The mix of uniquely approachable styling and practicality would have been really interesting. Nonetheless, a great cross-section of the "automotive-human condition" in this group! Fingers crossed to see the tables turned in a future series.

Ive found that a lot of the stuff that car enthusiasts dig is the OPPOSITE of what non-car enthusiasts like.
@ViperSRTnACR
@ViperSRTnACR 2 года назад
Viper guy here, pretty interesting episode. So a '94 model Viper is considered a Gen1 and is the most basic of all the models. Future generation Vipers received better interiors with airbags and antilock brakes. The appeal of the first-generation fiber is the rawness of the car which is what it was meant to be in the first place. That said, I think the women would have responded better to a second or third generation Viper that had a little bit more sophistication to them (and more power).
@RetroCarsForever
@RetroCarsForever 2 года назад
In retrospect, I think you're right that later Vipers would've done better. Going into this social experiment I wasnt sure what the women would or wouldn't respond to, so I picked some more extreme examples (like this early Viper) to learn from. And there was a lot we learned!
