Regarding wrapping presents, I agree that the "glide" is very cool. Sorta related, my late aunt used to wrap presents so well that you didn't want to unwrap them. First of all, she always had her Christmas shopping done by the end of August. A little out there, but efficient as hell. Then, I always felt terrible opening the masterpieces she had created with the wrapping paper and the perfectly curled ribbons. My cousins used to save the paper. I think they had the opening process down to a science, so they could re-use it for other things.

I hate fur and dander on my clean clothes and bedding. I've grown up with cats and dogs and had roommates with pets. I just keep them out of my room. No pets allowed on my bed ever. One roommate was always gone or out of town so his cat adopted me but my room was still off limits. I trained her not to come into my room so she would just chill and stare at me from the doorway if I was working on my computer. I got her a nice little shag rug to chill and scratch on so she wasn't just on the hard tile. Every now and then she would try to step into my room but if I turned my head she'd stop, give me that hand-in-the-cookie-jar look, and slowly back up onto the rug. It was cute.
