I stopped reading Desiring God halfway through when Piper declared that enjoying God is required to be saved. You don't get to prooftext Psalm 37:4 and Matt 13:44-46 and create a new religion.
It would have been nice if your sound engineer took some of the sibilance out of the audio on this one... It was distracting and made it difficult to listen to the whole message.
I was thinking the exact same thing but I guess this would make sense considering that Piper mentors David (I’d assume so at least considering David works for Piper).
They are from the same place and have been captured by the same theme “Joy”. But it’s not annoying but refreshing to know Piper is not alone in thinking and I would be wise to agree to find Joy in God. It’s not about their semblance anyway.
