What's your favorite type of workout? Cardio, weight training, calisthenics?

Hey I love this type of video. It's reminiscent of the old Chinesepod style of vocab sessions. I think a lot of people consider Fiona a sort of laoshi and followed her over from there, including me. This is a good way to open Skritter up to those people!

As a regular gym goer in China, I've been wanting to learn these terms and phrases for a while now. Thank you very much!

I took my first Chinese class in college in 1966, did two more years in graduate school, followed by fieldwork in Taiwan(learned to speak Hokkien), an intensive summer at the Middlebury Summer Language School, and a year at the Interuniversity Center then at Taida. Now 78, I can say that I have never seen a better way to study and review Chinese than the new Skritter app.

The Chinese and English are very similar. You didn’t mention it in the video but the characters in 哑铃 also mean dumb (as in mute) bell. Very convenient for remembering

That is the most awesome of videos. I have two queries: where do you get the fitness book shown in the video. Also, how would you say the terms: sit-up/crunch and "ski-erg"? Thank you. I have now subscribed and can't wait to go through your video lists etc.

I know you can say 加油 to motivate people 💪 but are there other phrases to say c'mon or good job during a workout? What about saying "good game" or something after the workout to your partner?

hi. when you put english subtitles it hide the chinese writing and the pinyin too, which I believe are more important to us to read then the English subtitles. It's not first time I see this.
