Do You Have Any Chance of Hunting Elk in Nevada? 

Been putting in since I was 12 I am now 40 and still waiting for the bull .... got my first cow tag last year ..... good luck on the silver state .... oooo and was born and raised in ely

Hey Cory I’m a Nevada resident and you’re absolutely right it’s very hard to draw especially for a non resident. I was lucky enough to draw area 6 muzzleloader in 2017 with only 6 bonus points and it was worth the wait had a blast was hunting screaming bulls everyday had opportunities on bulls from 300-400 and harvested a 330 6 point bull(very highly recommend muzzleloader hunts in beginning of September by the way) love my state and the trophy quality is definitely there but I would definitely hold out for a tag you want the rifle tags are very difficult and very crowded especially in the jarbidge areas due to concurrent cow and deer hunts and a ton of tags going on in one area at the same time. Just my two cents. I’m on the waiting list to put in again so looking to hunt Idaho in the meantime 👍
