LOVED X-Men 97, I was completely enthralled from beginning to end. Felt exciting and relevant. That X-Men Adventures #1 is one of my prized possessions but it's in "I read it as a child" condition (as all good comics should be).

I believe Eric Kripke, who is tied to a bunch of tv shows (including Supernatural and The Boys), was actually supposed to do a Deadman tv series several years ago. But it likely would have had a small budget and limited CGI at the time.
