"Do You Know the Way to San Jose" is a 1968 popular song written and composed for singer Dionne Warwick by Burt Bacharach. Hal David wrote the lyrics. The song was Warwick's biggest international hit to that point, selling several million copies worldwide and winning Warwick her first Grammy Award. David's lyrics tell the story of a native of San Jose, California, who, having failed to break into the entertainment field in Los Angeles, is set to return to her hometown.
Played on my Fender custom 56nos Stratocaster fitted with Kinman Impersonator 54v3 pickups on Mid position through a Jeds Peds “Magna Vibes” and a Boss CS2 Compressor /Sustainer and into an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 1-66. (Abbey road reverb)
Sound recorded in Cubase SX6 and edited with the three 4K Video takes made with 3 Panasonic VX870 4K camcorders in Song Vegas Pro 14

Morning Phil this one is good I grew up with my parents loves Burt Bacharach music 🎶 and him working with Dion Warwick in the 60s they split in 1970, they got back together in 1985 with A friends song. Thanks for sharing this. He's great song writer and producer it's like your doing a tribute of him. U take care my friend.😊

Good Evening Phil, a sweet sounding melody played as sweetly on the 56 nos. Strat is a sweet little treat. I enjoyed it from the word go. The tune sounded familiar as it was probably copied in a Hindi movie not so far back. " Do you know San Jose " a fantastic instrumental version. My Luthier Alan Brason made them and converted the Trems from a screw fit to a push fit. Unfortunately he retired a few years ago being in his late 70's. All the best Phil
