When Triona sings 'bugger all' and the moment before just gives me such joy.

The Bothy Band's first album was utterly new and incredible music when I first heard it over 40 years ago, and this song was a sheer delight. It still feels that way.

Ireland, an incredibly rich seam of folk music and (for me) The Bothy Band are the best of the lot. Beautiful sound.

When this hit the folk scene in town, everyone loved it. Friends requested it be played at their wedding. So romantic! A woman in the band said 'have you never listened to the words? This is no song for a wedding!'

I lived in Dublin for most of the 70’s. We used to go see Planxty and the Bothy Band, Clannad, DeDannan, and, on special,occasions, the Chieftains. It was a magical time for Irish music.

How can such a rendition as this one get 4 dislikes? The singer was great, absolutely flawless performance, her voice does not fail to inspire emotion.

She makes every song sound good. She and Gordeanna McCulloch, and Moya Brennan are my favorite singers.

Wonderful. I'm 57 now but was young in the Bothy Band's heyday. Greatest band ever to play Irish music in my opinion. Jesus Christ, why didn't I go to hear them play live. One of the regrets of my life, Declan from Dublin,Ireland

Weren't they just fantastic. I saw them one night in Cork. It was in the Savoy. They were frozen on the stage. Paddy Keenan's pipes were even complaining. Kevin sang a great song. What an amazing collection of talent.

This is excellent. The Clancy's also recorded it and called when I was single. It was sung to a different air with a change of words' but the message in it was the same.
