Nice vid and great to see the Sirui anamorphics being used in a corporate style film. It’s a lovely look! Do you guys have trouble with veiling glare on them and, if so, any tips for dealing with it using a matte box and any particular drop in filters? It’s probably a simple answer but I’m an idiot, so any tips would be much appreciated :)
Thank you so much for your comment, really appreciate your feedback! The flare on the Sirui’s is something we’ve been experimenting with and sadly haven’t found the right solution. If we take the Sirui’s on a shoot we’ve accepted the footage will have the classic flare and try and work our compositions or lighting to minimise any flare if we don’t want it. Let us know if you find a solution, we’ll make an update video if we find one!
It's always best to correctly expose your image, so it's advisable to shoot with filters such as ND to avoid loss of quality if you're making serious adjustments to your image in editing. Every filmmaker will have their own opinion, personally I like to shoot with filters such as Pro Mist rather than try and replicate that effect later as feel you can't fully re-create the effect they give in post.
