Everyone has been young. It is down to the parents to guide their children correctly, only then can the Imams continue that process. You shouldn't give such a judgemental comment without thinking about the broader picture. You have simply focused on one point, though , there are many dynamics at act in the scenario you have mentioned. If only it would be so simple..

But I must begin with the simplest of things as it's easy to see and understand, by questioning parental guidance it becomes a very subjective topic, some parents might claim to have taught their children, but children on the other hand may appear to be under equipped with sound knowledge of Islam that makes them emotionally and intellectually confident in being a Muslim. Bear in mind that the worshippers are digging deep into their pockets to pay for the Mosque services, each member is part of the community who'll live in the area with siblings, sons and daughters who are also part of the community. The masjid is known as the house of Allah for a reason. It's centrality cannot be overstated enough. So u cannot ignore the accountability which you're trying to overshadow with the idea of bad parental control.Not all parents can guide their children, not all have the answers to their questions of their children. But we have a huge Mosque with collective donations that's open to everyone for their spiritual development. The "go to place' for one's Islam. When u know that there are young men and women in the area who will have time off during the holidays, the least you should do as is to have an amibitous project in place to attract people to come in instead of haraam stuff. Just like a sales consultant would seek ways to maximise his sales from customers, by analysing the basic details such as "what kind of promotions would make the stock fly off the shelves and during what season??".. failure to evaluate the aims and objectives of the mosques youth programme (if it has one) is an abject failure for our young generation. We can prepare their Janaaza today, they will slowly die with the scourge of secularism. "Every Shepherd will be asked about his flock"
