I was actually in Florida at Mickey D’s the other day when I saw Sam. I went to say hi to him, and he sacked me with a comically oversized pencil for a total of 37 seconds and 246 milliseconds. When he finished, he yelled “Beef! ITS WHATS FOR DINNER!” before teleporting away! The best interaction ever! Thanks, Sam!
I think what people are forgetting is that a logo needs to look good no matter how small it is so these simplified redesigns are not only better, but they’re also necessary.

The 2008 Animal Planet logo was designed with thr am sideways to reflect the channels new wild shows. It could easily turn and be an M (for Animal) or a W (for Wild).
The real reason why companies change their logo is because of the cost of ink and the material. I work at a family owned packaging company and we have meetings about things like this all the time.
Funny story One time I was on a field trip and the bus had stopped for like a red light and we were in front of of a ihop so i was just staring at the logo and just a side note i was 9 at the time and i had been to ihop many time before, so i was just looking at the logo and then i noticed it was a smiley face
So the ball in the Barcelona badge actually showed what the soccer ball was like when soccer was first created. They actually used something that looked like a volleyball

I literally got a mail chimp ad just as he was talking about it 😂! Also the Firefox logo is still the red panda (it’s not a fox) hugging the world, except the world is smaller and purple. The logo he was looking at was the Mozilla logo (and I have no idea where the fox face came from).
