Thank you for this reminder that when we create a piece of knitting it’s okay to knot- it’s ours! I just knotted ends into a nap blanket for a 4yr old so it holds up!
This is on my mind every time I start a crochet project, sometimes it’s too difficult to weave in ends seamlessly, and you really don’t have to so long as it’s as secure a you need it to be and as hidden as you want. Whether it’s ‘proper’ or not is your decision and it doesn’t have to be something you worry about starting say a color changing project that will have multiple yarn ends, by worrying about it being seamless and not knowing if without the knots the weave in is good enough, you’re making the yarn ends a bigger task than they have to be, just breathe and deal with them how you please. Thank you for the video!! ❤❤
The cowl looks beautiful! I don't like knots in my work, but only because the knowledge of them being in my clothes itches my brain unpleasantly. Even if I don't really feel them👁👁
I found a scarf I made in 2017 recently and realised I never worked in the ends. It's so warm I don't wear it every winter. It's only for the super cold years which we don't always get so I had worn it without bothering. I picked it up recently and was surprised to see them all still there.
Lately I've also worn some knitting projects before weaving in ends and blocking. I just was so excited to wear the items. Maybe I'll do the finishing at the first laundering....
I’m really bad about weaving my ends in. I made a massive entrelac blanket for my best friend, but I haven’t gotten the ends woven in yet. I’m only about half done. And I didn’t leave long enough tails, so it has to be done with a crochet hook instead of a needle.
ive never seen entrelac crochet before so i googled it..... OMG my brain literally melted looking at all the detail 😅 i have a hard enough time with regular crochet patterns and i just got into mosaic crochet (not for ppl who hate weaving in ends btw) and thats also driving me kinda crazy lol
