Customers like to see bubbles. It gives them assurance they hired the right professional. Some customers also don't like the smell of the SH. Surfactant helps give a nice scent which also assures them it was a job well done "smells like a clean home" But I understand where you are coming from. Not all customers will notice.

That’s interesting for sure. I’ve honestly never had a customer watch that closely. I’ve done over 100 jobs since starting and the only comment I’ve ever heard was “is that bleach? It smells so clean”……thanks for watching 💪

@@joeallenpressurewashing every so often I'll get a helicopter or 2. That's someone who hovers around and likes to talk while your working. It's usually the elderly. They are just happy to talk to someone. Drives me nuts but it happens 😅 I just have to deal with it.

I tell the customers to stay inside so the chem spray doesn’t get on them. Never have had a customer come out until I’m finished.

You don't have to use a lot of surfactant, I use .5 ounces per gallon, the reason for surfactant is that it helps to stick to the siding etc. better and for longer which in turn makes the dwell time a little shorter and also makes sure the windows rinse cleanly if using a good brand surfactant. It also helps make the house smell a little better, I get compliments for the smell alone. Definitely get a swivel for the wand it makes the hose untangle easier. Also you should get rid of the wand and just go with a gun. Get yourself a Davis Shooter Tip and a Davis 2 hole adapter, put the Davis Shooter tip and the M5 Twist on that and you're good to go and can reach anywhere you need to with the gun only. Keep up the great work!

I appreciate that man, great advice! I have went back and forth on surfactant. I used it for most of my jobs, just recently started going with out it. I definitely won’t to get the Davis tip. Thanks again 💪

💯 switch the direction of your quick connects! With female on the outflow side you can blow out the oring, also less effective spray pattern for rinsing. Male side on outflow fixes both those problems. Use blue lock tight when putting on new connectors. Keep on keeping on wash brother!

You kinda proved in your own words that surfactant isnt a scam. You said it takes longer to rinse. That is what surfactant does, helps the product cling to the walls. It does in fact work. Now is it needed, not really but its not really a scam
@joeallenpressurewashing
@joeallenpressurewashing 4 месяца назад
Yeah, not a scam. I agree. I guess my point would be that it isn’t 100% required. Like you can still complete a lot of great work with out it. Thanks for watching 💪

Set up a bypass for your injector so you don’t lose flow when surface cleaning and rinsing

Is that aluminum siding? Using surfactant slows down the dwelling process. Do yourself a favor and spray the bleach on without soap and then with soap. See what the dwell time is for both. By using soap/surfactant it helps give a fresher smell than straight SH. I would rather use soap with the bleach and slow down the dwell time and runoff that to use more SH since it’s way more costly. Have a great day.

Appreciate it, I used surfactant more than I have without it. I’m gonna start using it again and see how much it changes. I appreciate your comment! Always love to hear outside perspective and opinions 💪
