Wow it's been 3 yrs. Still feels fresh. This song is so fitting. No matter who they bring in for Clarke, the 100 will never be the same or have the same impact as it did when Leksa was there.

Ha, I never thought about "Do you remember?" from a fan's perspective! The lyrics are great for that. Because I sure as hell remember that 307 kiss and how I felt watching it. I intentionally left out the icky parts, because we should remember all the good that came from Clexa. But I also miss them so much. :) As always, thanks for the comments and for watching!
Sadly, I've come to the last! 2:53 really stands out, you are seriously skilled at pushing up the tension in moments when the music lulls. And I know that cuz obviously I'm bingewatching your videos. Also, the chanting of Lexa's name around 3:09 perfectly on the beat, nice! I really like how varied your videos are! It seems like you post one sad Clexa vid, and then one neutral or happy vid to make up for it, which is honestly a blessing. This one really stood out as original for some reason, maybe because you used quotes that most people usually don't take, and painted a different picture than I've seen before. Well done, seriously. You got yourself a fan and subscriber!
I feel you fam. I've watched this video over and over for who knows how long. XD Agree to all of the above points. This is my favorite Clexa vid of all time. Foomatic21 has an amazing sense of timing and pace and painting themes.
Again late to the party, which no excuses because you gave me time staaaaaammmmpppsss . . . the beat of the song and the wealth of musical cues it had was what drew me to the song. It's got a great pace and a driving rhythm that was wonderful to edit with. I love it when I hear a song and can visualize what scenes I want for certain parts, and I knew the minute I heard it that I was going to use the clip of Roan for 2:53. I do that a lot, attribute a part of the song to a scene, and just build around that. I'm glad that it stood out for you, I want my vids to stand on their own merit, and not just be a remixed copy of each other set to a different song. This to me was their love/hate relationship, and the "Do you remember the way it made you feel?" lyric was so relatable to them, because of all that they'd been through, the betrayal at the mountain, the first kiss, the featly scene . . . remembering all that strife and angst leading up to that glorious kiss in Lexa's chambers, but also for us as fans, because I sure as hell remember how it made me feel watching it all go down, and I think it's important as a fandom to hold on to those feelings and those memories, because for a short time it was just perfection.
+foomatic21 ok so I feel like it would only be fair to post what I wrote to my friend since you deserve to know what I think more than anyone really. Here it is: Ok so... a) I love this song b) I find this video particularly sexy... but complex... but sexy c) it's Clexa, can I say more? But yeah I love this song haha. She used it very well here. What it does well is maintain tension throughout the video, emotional and sexual, while giving well timed relief points - while also building good characterization and development. It leaves you suspended just enough and it rewards you while providing good context all throughout. The video flirts with you. It flirts with themes and possibilities... and it's just smooth, you know? It flows and I love things that flow. Like in essays and you're supposed to vary sentence and paragraph length to keep things from getting repetitive. The same principle can apply to conversation and banter - having a good back and forth dynamic - as well as dance, music, food, kissing, sex, etc. Lots of activities really. It's push and pull. Balance. The idea is to give just enough to keep you suspended in the moment, tease you with what's to come with a bit of flair before drawing back, only to be pushed back into the deeper end. Anyways I've watched it a lot hahahaha the video itself is not about that hahahah it's just how it makes me feel. Plus its just a good song choice man hahaha It's about negotiation... See, I love Clexa because they get each other and love each other against all circumstances and against all odds... but what makes Clexa /sexy/ is how they try to manage the politics of their situation, push and pull, what they're willing to give and take, establishing and negotiating their position of power over and over again. /rant Ok so it's so much more than that, but at the time I focused a lot on that part of it. I feel like you really sum up this part of their relationship well. I watch this at least once every few days and at most several times in succession when I have free time. Ughhhh it's just SO good. And you're right! The song itself is so rich with editing cues and you used them expertly. Thank you for putting this together and adding a bit of joy to to this fandom. :D

It's so wonderful to get comments and feedback, but to get DETAILED comments and feedback is so, so rare and I appreciate it so much. I am always in awe of what people come away with when watching my vids, and it's so rare when someone puts in words. I like how you used the term flirt . . . I tried to showcase all the complexities of their relationship, the back and forth of wanting to kill someone vs wanting to love someone, the simmering of desire, and the moment of clarity when nothing else matters but the person in front of you. Goddamit Clexa, why you do this to me? LOL. Their relationship was so rich with flaws and possibilities, and to see them overcome obstacles and personal responsibilities was nothing short of magic, and made their connection so much more meaningful. The song had this wonderful sense of swaying back and forth, like their relationship, always dynamic, always changing, but then you get that one moment of stillness, the short lull and pause before the chorus kicks in, before their feelings for each other fuck everything up and suddenly it's this messy dance between love and duty and vengeance and honor and guilt. Obviously I have so many feelings about this right now. You also used the word balance, and I think this vid emulates that. Because it's not overly fluffy, but has some sexy elements to it, and it's not devastatingly sad, but it has enough of the will they/won't they element to add tension. To be honest I don't normally delve this deep in constructing my vids, this is so not my thought process while editing (it's mostly, oh this looks good!), but you comments got my mind thinking about the deeper connections between the music and themes and the high and low points of their relationship, so thank you for that!
I am honestly so thankful that this does not contain any death scenes and stuff! Though, it brings me to tears because of all the positive things that Lexa and Clarke shared - all the intensity. What a great video man!

Ok holy shit. The timing!! It's so good. How u cut the different scenes. How u fit them with the music. How u overlap the lines from diff scenes. How u slow-mo'ed some of them made it 100000 times more emotional. Cleaning up the audio is all about 1) the source material you use and 2) the program you edit with. I use Final Cut Pro, and it has everything I need to clean up the audio. Thanks for watching!
