It’s pretty sweaty but the issue is that if you’re not playing with friends then it’s just unplayable. Bad teammates, teammates that act like they’re playing solos, and teammates that leave the game.

I wouldn't say it is way too sweaty. You just need decent teammates. You might also be picking builds, zero builds I think is easier. I managed to get a win with randoms in like my first 10 matches. With friends got 3 and them and I are not sweaty. However, it might be a little sweaty. It is not as difficult as you think. Best way to heal in a situation where they keep shooting at you is shockwave away to some place safe. The building things you place are good to use for cover and sometimes healing. Just use your surroundings to your advantage such as high ground or using something like rocks for cover. Also using a decent loadout with decent aim can help out quite a bit

The problem with this mode is that it’s squad fills only for the moment. Not all of us have friends to play the game way so we have to play with unreliable randoms.

Yeah, I played duo squad and its hard, usually end up in a 3 v 2 at the end and you are at a distinct disadvantage. I imagine Solos would be impossible as you only get one life.

I genuinely hate this gamemode. I don't have 3 friends to play the game with so I never ever play squads. And we all have our own schedules so I usually solo queue. The gamemode in general just isn't something I personally enjoy. I typically dont get mad at games but the one constant that will get me heated is when I died from being grouped up on, no lesson to learn, nothing I could have done better, I just get cucked from either getting focused or 3rd partied. And thats all this gamemode is, ganging up on people. And the only reason I am playing it is because I want that victory umbrella really badly, and as all umbrellas you *need* to win. So my choice is either put up with the gamemode or miss out on the glider that will likely never return. If you like this kind of gameplay then cool I'm glad you like it, but its not for me.

I find that you really need friends for this. Even if your friend group is mid at the game, you stand a better chance with them then with randoms. The good players in this mode don’t leave until the game ends, and coordinate offensive pushes and defensive builds with their squad.

I’m trying to have fun but the sweats act like it’s the FNCS. Don’t try to play with randoms because you won’t win. It’s a sweaty battle royale for sure. I can see how it’s fun but the matchmaking is not it. It will be a great gamemode if they fix matchmaking.

I play zero builds and gotten about 4-5 wins so far, and one of those wins was 3v4. Just get one gun for close range and one for mid Range. A stack of med kits and minis and ur last one should be shockwaves or bunkers.

I managed to win a match of Reload just for the Umbrella, and modes like this often tend to be sweaty regardless. The map is small, respawns are unlimited till the last minute or your last standing member dies and things can move so quickly that you barely have time to think. So yeah, it can be very sweaty.

Very much yes. The combo of the sweats that don't like this season and the sweats that were just waiting for the OG stuff to return are all there, it literally got to the point where I had to hide for the entire match, but since there's usually an entire team left at the end, that's never enough. They should at least add a solos mode, because I'm sick of instantly dying to sweats in Squads no fill.

It's a LOT more fun in ZB for sure. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Squads in Build mode is just not fun. You can't fight 4 people at once and even if you all split up and face 1 on 1 you're running into each other, there's just too much going on. In ZB Squads every time anyone dies they leave but here they stay because of the auto reboots. I feel like this mode's 4v4 ZB action is what Squads is actually supposed to feel like but isn't cause everyone abandons their team.

BOOM!! You said it! It’s a balanced game mode! That’s what a lot of players are wanting! Balance and simple head to head gameplay. That’s the best part about this mode. Feel like sweating and having some fast pace action, Reload. Casual slow gameplay with some fun abilities, Battle Royal.

Absolutely! 😅😆😦 I played it a little and it seemed pretty pretty ridiculously sweaty. Glad there's zero build though. It's kind of a mix between Br and Team Rumble. I like that you respawn. A hard part of it is finding good gear quickly after respawning given how fast paced it is. Sometimes hard to land and get your stuff back. Is that Kingdom hearts music? Good stuff! 😎👌🏻

Right now I think it is sweaty. Maybe once the newness of the mode whares off, we will see if it stays that way. I was in several different matches where me or a team mate was shot out of the sky when rebooting in. So in the long run it is sweaty and some balance adjustments are probably needed, but overall time will tell.

I like the idea of it, I like that they came up with something so quick for the summer update as opposed to just nerfing more battle pass items and adding the NPCs that they added to get ready for the pirates event coming in a month, I love the way the hunting rifle feels and while it does feel like there are more sweaty lobbies than there are more comfortable ones, a lot of the sweaty players have left unranked and are now doing that so now the unranked feels like a more comfortable experience and the ranked is still nail biting and now with this third mode for all of the sweats this can be their whole thin

But see that’s what it’s designed for. It’s designed to be “sweaty” In a normal battle Royal match, someone would have used a mythic or some ability that’s OP to get away from the fight and not face the fight. This mode is literally designed for Old school face to face Fortnite combat where you can’t just disappear anymore. And that’s a good thing to have in the game.

So my appeal is that fortnite should at least add a duos mode cause it would be way more manageable and remove the exotics and mythics since its supposed to be a OG game mode.

@@stealth999 Ahhhhh see there you go! You just compared it to OG and it’s not OG fortnite. It’s Reload. It’s a mixture of chapters one, two, 3, and some of 4 too It’s not OG Fortnite. And the Mythics only have like a .08% of popping up. So if you know someone has them, reposting y the best you can and get them. I got killed when I had the exotic smg because it’s constant action.

I have played quite a lot of games of this with Randoms and it can change how sweaty each game is but I also found it changes depending on your teammates too, as some just when straight to tilted and got us all killed quickly before we had time to loot but others where more open to different landing spots and we often got off to a better start. It can also depend on whether your teammates are smart enough to run away/hide when the rest of us are respawning and not be the idiot (which I had a few of) that just ran head first into a squad of 4. So in short it is sweaty but Good Teamwork is the real deciding factor of if you Win or lose.

Taber, I'm loving the Reload mode. I love that it's just your squad and shooting. Yes, you are going to get sweaty lobbies at times, but it's dying to someone who is a better shot then someone who drives a car or smashes you like Super Smash Bros with no skills in shooting.

I've been hearing this everywhere there's talk about reload 😐 i personally won a game in three matches, and won two games in a row on my other account first try. It definitely matters how good your team is but all it really comes down to is keeping the other teams with no loot and not being too aggressive, you can always escape combat just to bring your team back. Maybe i am the sweat 🤯 that's not possible though because i have the worst internet known to mankind

one of my favorite things about Fortnite is the seriousness of the Comms vs the absurdity of the skins lol. I love it so much. especially when Tabor wears Non-Maya skins and combos. I love the mode so far. one of the rare times ive done random fill and enjoyed myself. It is sweaty but it's all humans so of course. To me it feels like there's the core BR modes...a fortnite / Mario Kart...a FN guitar hero...a FN survival / Minecraft...and now a FN resurgence/rebirth.

Both are true. Build mode is incredibly sweaty. It's fun despite that because of the map and loot pool, but they need to add duo's. I'm always with randoms because I don't have 4 friends.

The random squads can be hit or miss but I still find that it's more fun to play with people I know, even when they aren't as sweaty as the other players are

Got the challenges completed and I’m out. Lol! Zero build was the way to go and have fun. This modes not for me, all the keyboards Warriors are going crazy on the builds 😂 , but it was great to see old PoI’s and old weapons etc. I know it’s refreshed/refurbished for todays style but the locations all still felt super awkward. Not sure if it’s just me or what. They’re not necessarily like the “OG” locations for sure. Maybe it’s the visuals shading they use now for the game? Doesn’t feel true “OG” though if ya get what I mean. Thanks for this coverage man and glad to hear you getting a bit better than feeling like crap before. 💯 code tabor time for the support!

Yesterday was my first day playing this season and I got both my victory umbrellas. I was playing reload with randoms & I’d say it was normal. Some games were sweaty some games were close. It’s only been out 1 days and if you have to play with randoms just don’t give up, you’ll win one eventually.

It’s not too sweaty, just make smart rotations at the endgame and stay alive so if your teammates die you can be the reason they reboot. I love the game mode, hopefully they make this permanent mini battle royale mode and have it themed to the season or keep it OG for the nostalgia.

I love the zero build version just bc it’s more fun and enjoyable. Builds feels like a scrim and a tournament with the amount of sweats still have gotten wins in both build and zero build. If u go into multiple games u can pick up players that have mics and make a full squad that way.

i like it because it reminds me of the og days no bots but people forgot how sweaty fortnite was before bots was a thing in chapter 2 . also i like it also if they had solo mode i would lover it

I tried going in with a buddy on No Fill, and it sucked, but when we put it on fill and got decent players, it was bad. Once my buddies kid (8 years old) hopped on with us, we destroyed lobbies. After we got a win, we went back to Zero Build and destroyed that as well.

Well maybe it was just me, but I was able to duo/trio squad and get some wins and it was unironically some of the most intense fast paced fun combat, yet I still managed to win as an average player and both of my team mates returning to the game for it, last playing in the og season.

I’m enjoying it so far but it’s hard to find a good squad in fill matches because someone always ends up leaving and 99% of the time it’s the best player who leaves.

It's fun only with friends, with randoms, you'll just burn out quickly while getting steamrolled by sweats, and... judging by the fact i don't have friends, i'll see this umbrella only in my dreams

I find it the opposite - super quick and crazy games which feel casual bc theyre so quick and fun. But I do always assume teams/players are sweating for that umbrella at first.

Ok, Tabor. Love your videos, and even my dad knows who you are. We watch you all the time, and your videos are really helpful! As for this video: It does feel Sweaty. I get beamed from across the map, yet i kill the same guy 5 times... The sniper is just barely usable for me, probably because I'm used to Bullet Drop, not Hitscan.

I think another issue, is that some of us plays this game solo usually without having any squads to play with. So we get matched with mixed ranks, either no comms, toxic teammates or if you are solo, a 3-stack who plays like you are not there and is ready to leave you to die. There are so many issues with this, because you can't play this solo - and with this specific sort of event, you can't make a solo mode either.

1st couple games were sweaty but it wasn't always like that but the xp I got from it was worth it in the long run I levelled up 9 times by the time all my quests for it were done

I enjoy it and it gives me an opportunity to get better. I'm an old guy and started playing in season 3 to play with my boys. they don't play but I'm hooked, not great. but this fast past game play is fun and makes me better without some crazy practice creative map.

Is a pretty good mode if you get paired with a competent team the amount of matches I've lost because people run away from team is irritating, the mode reminds me of the game The Finals the combat is strategic and you have to know when to run so your team can come back been on a winning streak the mode really is a breath of fresh air.

I think the reboot ability should either be time based (how it currently is) or if it hits 2 squads remaining before that time limit it should force the no reboot

I mainly play with my little cousin who only started last season, and weve been having a tonne of fun! Its a little sad that i have to carry him most of the game due to the lack of SBMM, which is also why ive yet to win a game. Im sure if me and my friends got together and played as a full squad we'd manage fine, but its just a little sad other casual players like myself probably wont have much fun without getting lucky with squad fill

I think they need to add resurgance like chests that are able to be reopened after a certain time It’s so hard to regain decent loot after a certain time
