I thought everyone knew this, 1SF3SB use an interpolation from new years day. She admitted it and already credit Taylor and Jack since the release of the album.
and no… maybe people who are super into olivia rodregio lore and who specifically look into it.. i’ve only heard that she stole cruel summer and maybe another one
Bro leave the girl alone like poor Olivia like she can't even write a song because you guys are like omg she got from this song and yes I'm also a swiftie but like just leave Olivia alone ❤
@@headoverdiors its cowritten by ghost writers, the chord progression is copied, and the lyrics are garbage. that's kind of the trend in her music though
On her vinyl she thanks Taylor and jack for ALLOWING her to use this song… quoting “thank you to Taylor swift and Jack antanoff for so graciously letting me interpret their masterpiece “new years day” for this record”
Olivia Rodrigo is heavily inspired by Taylor Swift Edit: fr and thanks for the likes it’s the most I’ve ever gotten Edit 2: 1K LIKES????! WOW-! Edit 3 HIW 3.6k LIkES
@@Dark90Knightbestie I hate to break this to you, but Taylor did not invent yelling vocals, people just looked for a reason to hate on Olivia, no one who actually knows something about music thinks she plagiarised these songs, only insane twitter stans... yk people said the same thing about taylor when she released wildest dreams right? You think Taylor is a plagiarism queen as well? If you think tearing down young, talented women means supporting Taylor you're delusional
@@mr_emo111 you don't hear in this video thats exactly same? Not just one time she copy Taylor Swift's song, she also copied Cruel Summer with her song Deja Vu
Yes but she should be careful. Even though the artist won't sue . But the company who owns the sampler will. Remember what happened the last time to Olivia the company sue her . Yet the bad applause her.
No! Stop! Olivia is amazing! Yes she uses a lot of inspiration but that's not copying! She so great and dude you need to stop trying to get her into another lawsuit!
Okay i seeing a lot of people saying Olivia didn't given credit to Taylor but that just not true. in interview with Olivia a she stated (she loved cruel Summer she what to sample of a part of the Melody -that only last five seconds . Olivia did give her credit before that song came out ot just wasn't released to media untill after the fact .some inside knowledge known from working in the music industry.
I thought everyone was aware that this song was Sampled of New Years Day. It even has Taylor swift reference from its titles 1 and 3, which is Taylors Birthday 13.
@@taylors.version.13he didn't steal it, she interpolated it. Taylor agreed to this was always a credited songwriter for this song. You realise you're doing the exact same thing to olivia people did to taylor when they said she doesn't write her own songs because she has co-writers right? Olivia wrote this song and Taylor was co-writer, no one forced Taylor to do this, she could've said no, but she wanted this, so you're not defending Taylor by hating on Olivia, you're doing the thing Taylor fought for years: tearing down a young, talented woman.
i’ve never heard new year’s day but when taylor played it for the eras tour in sydney i thought it sounded so familiar and 1sfa3sb is one of my favourites in the sour album.
There are musicians inspired by their heroes and that’s a great thing. And there are who genuinely and maliciously copy other people ‘s music. It’s a big difference. How lovely it is when music evolves or survive when it’s inspired.
"i know someday im gonna meet her, its a fever dream the kind of radiance you only have at 17 she know the way and then she'll say she got the map from ME i say "im happy for you" then I'll cry myself to sleep" -Nothing New(2021)
So they actually are about the same, Taylor gave olivia the rights to make the song. If you get the vinal version of sour at the bottom it actually says “thank you to Taylor swift and Jack antonoff for graciously letting me interpret their masterpiece ’new years day’ for this record”. The more you know
i think its unfair for olivia she's a real talented young woman...this is also her genre and not only taylor has the right to this kind of music, i mean we adore taylor but i think we should also give a place also for other artists...she is not a copy cat she can do also her own music the only thing is that her genre is similar to taylor and she's a fan of taylor and there is nothing wrong with that... i mean there's a million of songs out there through the years and mostly sometimes its kinda sound alike without the intentions of copying it so why they did not critique or investigate those songs this is hard for olivia becoz shes like always living in the shadows of taylor and its unfair coz clearly she is talented also like taylor, she dont want to compete with taylor coz taylor is taylor and shes one only like shes there already in the heights...but can we give chance also to olivia i mean she also deserves these things.... kudos to you taylor and olivia the industry would not be the same without guyz....❤peace!
Ofc she's a copycat and thinks she's the next taylor swift. She made an album victimizing herself and never addressing the situation while Sabrina is being bullied by her immature fans. She is immature too lol. She can't accept the fact that a guy can date another woman after the break up whether she likes it or not. After getting sued by Taylor's team for copyright ofc her crying self tried to side with the Kardashian and didn't last. I'm happy that Sabrina is going with Taylor Swift on her tour soon. She deserves it for being unproblematic.
No, she’s a huge fan of Taylor and a lot of her music is based off of her, Don’t just assume things also their like besties? Your the one who’s making it seem like Taylor’s the victim
@@iLove_Olivia_Rodrigo I'm not assuming and stating the fact that she got sued for copying some of Taylor's tune. The word 'inspire' is to sugarcoat the word 'copy' in business. You cannot just say you were inspired whilst stealing their artwork.
It's literally interpretation, Taylor agreed to this prior to release, idk what you're on about, maybe you should stop getting all your information from twitter and tiktok, there also no prove Taylor ever sued her and if she did it would've been a really shotty thing to do since everyone who knows something about music agrees that deja vu wasn't plagiarised and Taylor got sued for the same shit several times, it's silly and yeah she should've done more to defend sabrina, but , obviously her label advised against her speaking up, she was a teenager who got insanely famous over night and didn't go against what experts told her, she anti-christ because of that. You're doing the exact same thing to her people have done to taylor since the beginning of her career, saying she's victimising herself simply because she wrote about her emotions (Taylor is a lot meaner in her songs btw and I say that as swiftie) people always blamed Taylor for the hate her fans send as well. Sabrina might be an unproblematic queen, but you're not, you're being just as immature as the people who hated on her, by hating on olivia.
Crazy how people are hating on other artists/idols because one of their songs sounds similar to Taylor's (even if someone else wrote it) but defend Olivia.
Olivia needs to stop “getting inspiration” from Taylor swift, then people are all like “why is Taylor getting some money” because Olivia is literally using her instrumentals bro
@@Taylor13thfan misinformation? Taylor gave her this, it's a fact, it was known before the albums came out. By your logic every artist who works with a co-writer steals. Pleased develop some kind of relationship woth reality.
I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of Olivia and yeah, use Taylor swift as an inspiration, as anyone should, but don’t steal her entire melody. People say she’s just inspired by her but Olivia has done this with MANY artists. Take your inspiration and make it your own
Same with how deja vu sounds very similar to cruel summer. And good 4 u being a misery business sample. I mean I like the songs but I feel as though she should try to come up with her own melody and sound instead of sampling all her songs
@@ohrylies those werent interpolations tho? and brutal wasn't even the song ppl claimed sounded like cruel summer, it was deja vu. u cant be wrong and criticize at the same time. also olivia had to change the song credits after their releases bc ppl would always claim she was copying and stealing. imo, all the songs ppl say she copied don't sound very similar. i think it's just ppl trying to attack a new artists that got popular extremely fast
@@mateizivanov26 ah yes that was a mistake. I’ll have to change it to deja vu. I wasn’t trying to be rude, but I do think she should try to come up with her own sound yk? Olivia herself said that she took inspiration from Taylor. But the songs sound very similar in some spots. I really do like Olivia and I’m excited to see how her future is. There are definitely some haters attacking her for it, which isn’t needed
