Social media turned it into a curse. Before that people were a lot more normal. And I mean that by a huge margin. I mean take a look at how people were in shows back in 2013 and before, compared to shows right now. It's a reflection of us being shown to us. And just go outside and you'll begin to notice who's a victim of social media and who isn't. And it's all become this gate to project hate. Everyone's become the worst part of themselves.

Possibly an Age restriction on adult and any snake-filled content is helpful, on all platforms and from any nations into this nation Period. That keeps the financially motivated promotions and monopolies dead, as well as any indoctrination or harmful influences exposable to the influentially innocent Child, (Pre-Adults). The rated X platforms are not for the Child either. Now possibly it's known why (it was insisted to not eat from the fruit of knowledge)? Because we were exposed deceivingly to the knowledge of, the ways of the snake as well. But the temptation of the snake is shown to us by the Truth. By Abiding to the Truth, We all shall see the Truth as it Sheild us from the Snake. But shall never use us as Sheilds. God and Truth are One Because God is the Truth. Parents teach your Children well you have the fruit of Knowledge.

Age restrictions are useless as soon are kids realize they can enter a date of birth that puts them over the minimum that is required to have full access. Waste of time. Where the fucks are the parents? All of a sudden people who believe in "personal responsibility" and "parents rights" completely surrender and are nowhere to be seen except promoting bigger government control over social media companies. What the senator is getting at is that meta’s products should be regulated by the government. So to admit that the country is dangerous as an analogy to meta’s products being dangerous would be unadvisable from Zuck’s defense team’s perspective. That premise would justify government oversight. “Oh the country is dangerous, that is why we regulate it with the police””oh the world is dangerous, that is why we have the largest military ever known to man”

Don’t all businesses want people to use their products more? Stupid question
@nicklibby3784
@nicklibby3784 3 месяца назад
Yeah, literally any good product wants their product to be the best and give the customer a good experience - therefore that inherently would make someone want to use it more - whether or not they deliberately want people to use their product non-stop or not. It's essentially impossible to make any product that would not inherently influence the customers indirectly to use it more unless it is an absolutely terrible product. I do not like Zuckerberg at all! I'm even a bit right leaning myself and I love the state of Georgia. But this Congressman really was just trying to attack Mark Zuckerberg without any logic or valid reason. He says "there is a studying proving that kids using social media for 3 hours a day is unhealthy!!" .......but the truth is that is a parenting problem, especially when every major smarth phone (apple & android) have parental controls and time limits and Facebook itself has a kids setting and time can be limited on it. When I was a child back in 2009, my dad set up parental controls for a time limit on the Xbox 360!!!!!! This was 15 YEARS AGO!!!!! We had this technology existing! Yet this Congressman makes an argument that COMPLETELY falls apart once you remember this technology or setting exists. Granted my dad would often let me go past the time limit when I was acting good and being active, but after a few years I grew out of it and didn't need a limit anymore. I do not see any reason why Facebook should be to blame for PARENTS failing to control their own kids! Especially when they have all these parental control settings to monitor and control what their kids do on smart devices. If this Congress really cares about kids and wasn't just trying to go after Facebook without reason (even though there actually is plenty of valid reasons to go after them, he just didn't use those reasons in his argument) then WHY doesn't he apply the same argument to fast food places? It is certainly unhealthy for children to eat fast food 3 times or more a week.......and we KNOW FOR A FACT that McDonald's wants kids to eat their products. Following the same flawed logic as the congressman, I'd argue fast food places are a bigger problem for kids health than Facebook, and it is OBVIOUS fast food places want kids to use their products more considering they put LITERAL TOYS 🧸🪀🧮 in the kids meals and constantly advertise these toys on TV, and design their mascots for children. Compared to Facebook, the Fast food places very deliberately & obviously target children to use their product more despite it being very well proven it is very unhealthy for children to eat fast food frequently. But either way it is a PARENTING PROBLEM. You can't blame companies for making a good product. Although I must say the fast food places putting toys in their meals and all that seems a bit wrong morally.

@@nicklibby3784Facebook, social media and tech companies absolutely have some of the burden for creating this environment. They literally designed the apps and phones to be dopaminergically addictive. That said, you're not wrong, the government has never had a handle on the private sector and isn't going to fix a problem in individual kids. The solution should come from companies being less predatory in their tactics to hijack our dopamine receptors, and parents learning how to teach their kids to self-regulate their technology consumption. Both are an issue. Especially if you think there's a moral implication for happy meals for kids. On a phone, every notification, every like on a post, any funny video, is a dopamine hit and honestly it works way faster and is more immediately harmful to kids than a happy meal in their junk food. Ossoff was trying to get at the valid and scientifically proven argument that I made about dopamine, but his initial question was in fact stupidly worded. All companies' obligation is to increase the amount of consumers of their goods or services. It's our job to learn how to only engage in that when needed or wanted and how to not fall prey to the sneaky tactics they use to take advantage of our consumption.
@bjt81366

Evidently it wasn't a stupid question because Zuckerberg had all kinds of problems trying to answer it. It's a strategic question that needs to be asked because you need to hear his answer. I would suspect you're not a parent. Because I Don't know a sensible parent who thinks Instagram and tick tock are healthy for children. And if Zuckerberg and the rest of these clowns only interest is making money over the safety of children. They're no better than the cigarette companies 30 years ago with Joe Camel.

Very ironic that people who believe (or pretend to believe) to be conservatives instantly surrender and fold like cheap lawn chairs when it comes to government regulation of social media companies. What happened to "personal responsibility " or "parent rights"? Aren't parents the one who should be first and foremost the ones who should be responsible for what kids do and watch instead of the government? This is a slippery slope I might add, since if you are willing to admit that companies should be responsible for what people do with their products, then is it not logical that gun manufacturers be held responsible as well or am I missing something?
