@goozmooshak We never use anything below 20lb or 30lb FINS braid for our mainline, and we will use 50lb or 60lb SEAGUAR fluorocarbon leader for abrasion resistance.

First, let it sink to the bottom, then begin a slow, slow retrieve with an occasional twitch of the rod tip here and there.
