はあ This game is not just a translated version of the original, it's a localization, which usually has a modified script compared to the original (sometimes it's completely different).
I prefer Honoka in English, it fits through the aesthetic of her schoolgirl theme. Kira Buckland did a fantastic job as her. While Japanese is decent, however, this can annoy me quite rapidly. I disagree that she sounds cute in it. Sure, it's your preference, but I think the voice is a bit old for a cutesy schoolgirl. Plus, some grating speech patterns.
I also don't get why they change honokas saying she says in Japanese "I'm gonna do it" rather then "here I go" and then "I'm really going for it!" Rather then "I'm giving this all I got" but I guess cause of lip sync.
Dont care about the other characters. But how can they place a girl as beautiful and cute as Honoka in such a game. Look at her she is too gentle pure for this world.... When she asks her self why is she so hot and apologises... My 💓💓 Her laugh is just.....!! 💞💕 Look at that face just wanna chub her cheeks. How can you hurt her. Shooo frickin cuuuuute!!! The only physical contact I could achieve and she needs, is a nice warm squishy hug and lots of kisses. So much ❤❤❤
I think Jann Lee has the BEST japanese voice. I also prefer English voices because they all sound distinct. The japanese cast kinda sound the same tbh.
Best english for male characters imo- Ryu/ Hayate/ Jann Lee / Zack/ Bass Best Japanese- Ryu, Jann Lee, Eliot, Brad Worst male english voices- Eliot Worst Male japanese voices- Zack, Rig, Bayman
For females Best English imo - Christie, Ayane, Phase 4, Marie Rose, Mila, Rachel, Tina, Nyotengu Worst english- Helena, Lei fang Best Japanese- Nyotengu, Ayane, Honoka, Rachel, Phase 4 Worst Japanese- Leifang, Marie Rose, Tina
Wow you went into more depth than I did lol. I forgot about best male English voice...Hmm I think I would choose Jann Lee for sure. I would much prefer English Marie if she had a cute little Swedish accent. In Tekken now most characters are truly native speakers. Eg there's a posh girl called Lili who only speaks French and it's excellent for character realism 0w0
Maybe it's because i got accostumed to them over the years, but i swear i prefer zack and tina in japanese. It's not like their english actors are bad, it's just i can't relate them to the characters. Zack sounds too generic and Tina sounds like an ordinary teenager, when she should be among the most mature girls in the game -_-
Final Verdict, all of the English voices sucks compared to the Japanese voices. btw, Zack's English voice is shit, his Japanese voiceover is so legendary. This is the worst comparison I've ever seen, that's probably why this has little views and likes, just saying.
