Getting my dobie puppy in 2 years 😂 it’s been my dream breed (I have been doing my research, I done so much I been studying the breed I even got notes 😂)
Wasn't planning on getting a doberman or even a puppy. He was abandoned in the neighborhood, and he's mine now. He's super smart and sweet as honey. Having to train the kids to train him while we're at work. *The shelters are full and literally not taking in any dogs. They are requesting that you foster them at your house. Sad situation with an increase in dumped dogs. Even purebred dobie pups are getting dumped. Crazy times.
No I respect what you are saying but my puppy has been giving me no warning and I will take her outside for so long and as soon as she gets inside she shits on the floor😭
One, could it be that the puppy didn’t feel safe outside? Two, try to time the time between their meal and when they take a poop. Take them outside during that time, not immediately after their meal.
how I stopped that is anytime I go outside It’s potty time first playtime second also I have a designated spot for him to pee because he knows that when we go to the spot it’s pee and poo time only no play. I will wait around 5 to 7 minutes and if he doesn’t go to the bathroom, it’s in the kennel for 10 minutes and then back outside no free roaming until both bowel movements are done and its been smooth sailing ever since
I will get my Dobermann puppy in 6 weeks. Thank you so much for this video and you advice. Such good advice and I can always learn more although it is my 2nd Dobermann. I will check out your other videos and subscribe :)
THANK YOU! For sharing your rich experienced advice clearly and thoroughly. It's really helpful. Please keep them coming. Would love to see more about big dogs living with families, how to train kids with dogs, any tips on a family adopting a working breed smart dog.
We just got a 1yr old Doberman puppy male yesterday. Sometime during the night, he made wee on my kitchen oven door and at the foot of my husband’s recliner seat. I cleaned it up with no fuss; I know that he’s homesick from the farm we got him from. We live in Yuma so that means during the summer months, he’ll be indoors majority of the time. My question is, how do I calm my 1yr old Doberman pup so he doesn’t have these nervous/ scared reactions (I guess the proper to say)?
Thanks for watching Cicily! We're recommend removing access to water about an hour before bed time and let them out just before bed. Then in the morning let them out again and give them back their water. This should help everyone get through the night without too many worries
Your plan worked on my rough collie puppy. He was house trained nearly in 3 days. He had 1 more accident but that was my fault. I didnt get hom out the door fast enough so he piddled by the door. My fault but I rectified that and never another issue. -Cronk
Hi! I have a Doberman puppy currently that has been consistent with holding her bladder and poop for several hours (while I am at work and while asleep during the night) in the crate. She does very well then, so my problem is her going outside for awhile and pottying, then immediately coming in and relieving herself with both. This is not my first Doberman, so I am familiar, but this is the first Dobie and general dog that I have had such a problem like this with. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, she is EXTREMELY talkative. Whenever she is not the center of attention or getting whatever she might want she will bark and whine at me. I ignore her and don't feed into her tantrums, but she continues to no avail. Any tips on helping to fix this behavioral problem?
Okay my girl is 9weeks old and just took 2nd vaccination and has left one more, can’t go outside yet because canine distemper is widespread here. Her immune needs to get stronger, so almost everyday she’s potting inside and idk what to do because we won’t be able to go out 3 more weeks.. trying balcony doesn’t make me feel safe for her
Hi do you think it's possible to teach 4 months old Doberman puppy on a nappy tray? Since I work with shift It Will be ideal than to wait for me to go outside. Thanksn
Thanks for the training! I have a question, my 4 years old Dobbie can control his pee only for an hour or so sometimes two, but the problem is he pee's after he comes back from walking that's where it annoys much!! What is the solution for this kind of behavior?

My mom and dad recently got a doberman puppy. The puppy goes to the bathroom in the back corner of the backyard. The issue I saw last night is that my mom hangs out in the garage with her and yesterday the puppy went to the bathroom on the driveway that was right next to the grass. Why doesn't she know to go on the grass when she's in the front yard? Should my mom have her mostly in the house right now and take her to her spot? Is she always going to have to take her to that spot to actually go to the bathroom?
I have a female Doberman pit mix. She’s super smart, almost 6 months old. How do I keep her in the yard and off the run? She hates being tied up but she runs off without it…the yard isn’t fenced in.
My Doberman puppy is 9 weeks old, we don’t have a back door the our garden so we go from the front door round to the garden. We take him after every nap, drink, food, playtime because he gets exited. He don’t seem to give warning signs of sniffing. He just drops and starts weeing indoors. He is really good at weeing outside but it’s been raining the last few days and he is not interested in weeing on the grass anymore. We waited out there for 20-30 minutes yesterday and he didn’t go, the moment we walked in the door he peed
I realize this video is 3 years old, but incase anyone come across this comment....I am adopting 2 dobermans from our local pound. They are 1.5 years old. One of them os not potty trained. Maybe this is a dumb question, but would this puppy training apply to a dobi that is 18 months old?
Hey, just wanted to say thank you for making this video. I tried this on my puppy and happy to report first day went well. We slipped up twice so ended up having pee accidents. Now she knows she has to go to the door. Hoping to make progress with this method 👍👍🙏
I just got my 8 week old Doberman puppy and wondering the same question. Shes been doing very well during the day and I wonder if I should wake her up during the night time. The first night she slept thru 4 hours. The second night I tried to take her out in 3-4 hours but she just won't pee. Seems like she wants to go back and sleep. I took her back, wait 10min and tried again and she still wouldn't go...Now it's 4:40am and I just let her go back sleeping. Staying right next to her to make sure no aCcident .....But what should I do really?
I just got mine, she is 7weeks. When I put her in the crate at bed time should I still do the hour on the hour method or wait until I get up in the morning

Hey I just got a Doberman and she is 9 weeks old. Started the potty training thing and she’s on and off with it. She does good then sometimes she messes up and pees or very sporadically poops in the house. Also when it comes to treats, she doesn’t eat them, I have over 6 different treats, and she’s very picky sometimes she’ll eat them sometime she won’t. Any advice ?
I just got a 4 month old Doberman pincher and she’s very scared I try to take her for a walk but she just sits there and doesn’t move at all. She pooped while running and jumping on the bed to hide what can I do to get her going???? Please help
My 5month old dobbie is sometimes can't track his potty, since he can hold from the night sleep till the next day morning. However in the day time he often changes his routine every hour he pee nearby although I have been taking him out. What is the solution for this?
Does the “on the hour every hour” guideline apply at night too? We just brought our Doberman pup (13 weeks) home and the first night he didn’t want to go out at all in the night when we woke up to take him. He held it all night, should we continue to try to take him out every couple hours at night?
I'm really hoping to get my 2nd massive gap,,doberman pup as live on the uk and totally illegal without papers to jave a docked and maybe sue be cropped! Not 100%'yet . But I've never seen a donerman where I live it all cockers and farm kind also lots of lil dogs, that's not a rule have seen some very different dogs but was speaking to another dobermans owner who lives miles away, and he said expect to get some comments on cruelty ect as dock or cropped, it doesn't worry me enough to have one frommonnthenuk but I don't know hoenikngonnanfeel, don't wangle go vote back, but chasing a fox to its desghbisnA ok! Don't get Gigi. Am new to you'channrl, but don't want her to be looked at as aggressive as 😂not got her for that reason by any means . Anyway she's not born just yet, I know a lot of people give fresh red meat to dogs and not sure why I'm not into that, am I taking away by having this thought??
Ive been following this video to a tee, yet my 12 Week old Is going pee outside regularly but rarely pooping outside about 85% of the time he goes inside. Especially right after walks. Just went on a 45 minute walk with him No more then 5 minutes inside and he goes.. Also whenever on walks he just wants to pull home so i think hes just not focusing yet. I have 16 alarms set throughout the day to take him out. Also note: this is his first week here I got him at 11 weeks Could he just be to young or not able to fully understand yet?
I’m getting a Doberman next month she will be two months old at this point! What harness do you recommend for walking? I dead about leather and having a hard time predicting sizes for collars/harnessies
Hi Alyssa, thanks for watching and reaching out! We recommend measuring your dog before you order to make sure you get the best fit. It might be worth waiting until you bring your pup home so your can measure them and order the best size. For more information on sizing check out our website: fenrircanineleaders.com
I have a 3 Month Doberman Puppy, who i take out every 2 hours, goes potty in the same spot we have no issue with that BUT everytime we finish up "potty outside" we come back inside and he always does one last little squirt of pee! Almost like he is trying to mark his territory but there are no other pets in the house. I literally stand over him and tell him " no potty" as we go up the stairs he walks up calmly and STILL while looking right at me, does one last little pee that has been driving me nuts !! Please Help! Side note he does not go number 2 in the house, he learned that pretty quick, but now he's making a habit of his lil mini pee accidents after walks and potty time.
I take my puppy out every 15 minutes or more and she’s still peeing in the house. She’s only 6 weeks old though. My vet says to let her eat and drink non stop and all she wants. So the food schedule isn’t working either.
Hi, I have a Doberman (64 days old name FIFI) & a Labrador (76 days old name Maddy) both females. Lab initially was dashing in when Doberman wanted to go to toilet. I opened another one, there too Lab came. Finally for 2-3 days Doberman finally used the designated place to pee & potty, but Lab started doing everywhere. Currently Labrador is going to the designated spot but Doberman pee & potty anywhere. Have been trying to take Doberman to the designated spot but she is not passing. What to do?
Also when Doberman started following for 2-3 days, the Labrador used to potty & pee out side anywhere in the house & spread it across & one day specially grabbed & placed it in front of me 😡.
Bloody Hell....talk about puffing it out. Just get to the point quickly without all the fluff, the time filling. You know it. That could have been two minutes...maximum. 'Clean up whoopsies, don't discipline, take 'em out every hour, observe, see poo/pee..praise, and reduce as is obvious.' All is well. Thank you. You've been a great audience.
