Doc Martens Boots Made In England 1460 Review Why I Choose Made In England Docs Over Made In Asia 

Got two pairs of made in England Doc shoes and I will swear by them!I am thinking about made in England boots.

I learned a lesson about sizing with these boots that I'll share. The MIE "Vintage" versions are a smaller fit than the made in Asia boots. The reason why is because when manufacturing began in the Asia factories they started using lasts, the molds around which the boot is formed during manufacturing, which are different from the lasts which were (and still are) used in the factory in England. Because the lasts are different, so is the fit. In my case I can wear a US size 11 of the MIA versions comfortably, but the US size 11 MIE is more narrow as well as shorter, making it too small for me. I do prefer the quality of the MIE as well as the natural color of the edges of the leather. Currently I am wearing the 1460 Greasy MIA. If I go for MIE again in the future I'll have to try on a size US 12 and see how it works out. So, keep this in mind before purchasing if you order online. Try to find a store where you can try on the boot first to make sure that your size is going to work.

I've just ordered a pair of Made in England's 1460s because i read a report that sale's of Doc Martens were dropping in the US and the reason a DM executive claimed was the footwear lasted too long. That rang an alarm bell so i had to get a pair of MIEs before the quality really drops. They should arrive sometime next week. Are they a slightly different shape to regular 1460s?

The old vintage docs are the best ones better than nowadays made in England docs especially the ones with the bex soles they are really good

I will never buy post-2003 Docs....Not ever! Mine are all vintage made in UK.

Mine are made in Bangladesh 🇧🇩, but my make in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Docs are much nicer. I have a pair that were made in China 🇨🇳 & those are nice, but only because I had them resoled.
