Doc Martin - The highlights of Martin Ellingham and Louisa Glasson in season 1 episode 1! The television programme Doc Martin belongs to Buffalo Pictures.
Underated is an overrated and overused adjective used by egotistical narcissistic baboons who like us to think they see more than us We have 1 eye they have 3 Doc Martin had a huge following across the world
British humour at its best, but serious too If only we had doctors like this I would have to book an appointment each month to to get told to shut up I go to bed laughing, I really think that the casting is absolutely spot on Who else could play Doc Martin No one I’m sure of it Who could play Louisa, she’s just perfect & how she keeps a straight face It’s wonderful it really is
The best episode of any of the series for me was episode 5 of series 1 Titled ''Of all the harbours in all the towns'' starring John Alderton. The comedy was left behind for a change and the story line got serious and so did the acting. Wish they had written more episodes like that.
Doc Martin TV series is beautifully done, memorable, and a delight. It's probably about something different for everyone who watches it. What I felt was a great sense of duty and personal calling throughout the many stories told. By that I mean most of the stories show people in all different walks and phases of life doing what they feel they should and must do, despite circumstances, and their own limitations. Starting with the grumpy doctor who shows up instantly whenever there's a medical emergency, to the pharmacist who was taken off her job due to mental illness who faced her demons and returned to work, the policemen who did the job despite personal limitations, the loyal school teacher who devoted her life to her students, and many more. I feel it has inspired me to do the extra mile in my own life having seen this delightful series and recalled how the little village in England functioned despite harsh conditions because people rose to the occasion when it came to their calling, even though they may have failed at everything else. Very true to, and affirming of life without being preachy.
Unlike EastEnders Coronation Street and all the other garbage soaps Sitting in a room chatting ,shouting and screaming Slapping in the street the pub the garage Isn't acting This Doc Martin is real acting and how great it was Awards please 🥺
i think i have watched the entire series at least 5 times all the way through , number 6 coming soon....for me a 71 yr old Dutchman think it has to be in my top 5 all time series..maybe nr 1 i just love it !!
Binge watch this with a client i was caring for 4 th july weekend ! It was on pbs in states ! Got immediately hooked ! Not watching from beginning ! Love it !
Oh joy of joys! ITV3 screened the first 2 eps last night!!! Fkng hilarious! I LOVE this show so much. Great cast, very funny dialogue and one-liners! The Doc Martin is such a grump! Brilliant acting.
Wow! Here Martin Clunes and Caroline Catz are, 20 years younger in 2004. I remember him as the first Barmy Fungy-Phipps on "Jeeves and Wooster" in 1991.
Doc Martin is my favorite comedy/drama. I bought the whole series from Australia because BBC America did not have the whole lot. Had to jigger myplayer to ignore region codes. The writing, direction, and incidental music are, to me, outstanding. One thing -- I asked my optometrist whether it was possible to make a diagnosis of acute glaucoma by simply looking at the eye. He said absolutely not! This is inconsistent with all the other medical stuff in this series that seems on the mark.
I love Louisa. She’s the only person apart from his aunts who has any guts to say what’s going with this guy. His bedside manner would be a big problem in America
Theres a wounderful cast in Doc Martin , really professional actors how Martin keeps a serious face all the time is beyond me, yes louisa is a beautiful woman ,we watch it every friday night its on for two hours and its only great thank you
Me encanta esta serie. Vi en netflix varias temporadas pero me dejaron sin saber qué pasó al final. Como la puedo ver en español o subtitulada o sabe alguien si en algún momento la pasaran completa en netflix?
Whacked with the door and now he's got acute eye pain. May not be glaucoma... Methinks he's intrigued. Wow I just found the show now. Hmmmmm. Oh well I'm a Yank. Happy New year all. From the Pacific coast. ❤️
Actually, it's very easy to find all the seasons and episodes on Netflix. A watched the whole nine seasons since the COVID19 lockdown. I enjoyed every minute of it. I am glad I found it.
I have been fascinated by Cornwall since I was a teenager and read all the Victoria Holt's novels. I find it hard to believe that people there are so rude and so little fond of hygene. Is it really so? And whuìy those girls hanging around and laughing at everyone all the time. I cannot believe this reflects reality. You live there, please tell me. Laura
I started watching this show recently.... I'm confused -- I started in the 1st season, where the doctor seemed a little grumpy, a little unpleasant, around some locals who seemed to be your average people reacting to his attitude. Then, I watched a few episodes from later seasons, and it seems like it's the characters are completely different: the doctor seems like an undiagnosed neurodivergent personality, with something like oppositional defiance disorder; the people around him seem either to be vying for most unpleasant person, or intellectually challenged! What am I missing?
The doctor shows signs of being Aspergers and she should be more understanding at the start. There wouldn't of been a baby that he can't give warmth love.
This tv-series is running on the television now, here where I live, charming and kind of fun of course, like most British tv-series are, but, I do not quite get the point with it? Why are everyone so stupid or angry or useless all the time? And the main character, the doctor, had kind of some nice sides with him in the first episode, related to patients/individuals etc, but soon he was angry and rude absolutely all the time, why did he change personality? And also, why this constant focus on him diagnosing all kind of illness all the time? Some random crazy person come in, the doctor look at the person and bang! a diagnose, the person disappear and some other crazy person appear, bang! another diagnosis and the person disappear, and repeat, why? And, why in the world is the doctor constantly eating this fish? And not drinking alcohol, when he is drinking coffee? The whole plot is a bit strange in my opinion
