Me too. Been binge-watching it over the last couple of weeks. I have known about it for years, but just never bothered to look at it. I can't believe I've been missing this fantastic show all of this time. I"m in the US, and I see that it has a LOT of American fans.
Doc Martin and Mrs. Tishell were sending up Americans were sarcastic looks and comments. It wasn't racism. Racism is a completely different thing, and not at all laughable.
