What a wonderful concept for a television show Doc Martin is. Martin Clunes is just marvelous and the show is so fabulous. Can't get enough of it. He deserves endless accolades for this show.

I absolutely have loved this series and am sad to see it come to a close. I will follow Martin and hope he does more. He is a great actor and all the cast of Doc Martin have become very 'real' for the time I have been watching from the United States.
I usely hate shows like this,But I am stuck on him,He is the kind of man I'de love to have,He is the best acter,I could watch his show a hundrends of times.He is good at any thing he does,He is a nature.You can tell,He has a heart of gold.God bless him.
Martin is not a Sir, as he has not been knighted, however, he does have an OBE( Order of British Empire), for all his wonderful contributions to charity and entertainment. He is an outstanding actor and a great human being.

I am so glad in this interview he says "no" not going to stop making the shows. He said his wife won't let other Doc Martin shows have another baby. It was pretty informative and I've wanted to know his thoughts on the future of the show. He is just so happy about it's worldwide appeal. He deserves it, he is so talented and he makes that character seem so outrageous and no-nonsense. Yet, Martin Clunes seems so sweet and easy going. Thanks MClunesfan you are a star!
I am so addicted to this show, can't wait for the new season to make it to netflix or I find it somewhere on here, to my knowledge it isn't airing on any channels here in the states
I can't believe there are only two more episodes (watching on Acorn TV) and then it may be truly over. I am glad to hear that if it goes well, the powers that be may do another season, though that won't be aired until 2015 at least if it happens. I was in Port Isaac this past May-it was a wonderful place in itself, and even more so because I was able to see a bit of filming-not Martin. It was a rehearsal, but still exciting-we were far back. Season Seven, please! I will be going back to Cornwall this spring but I don't think I will get back to Port Isaac-I missed so many DM landmarks that I wish I could!

Just finished watching series 9 [2019 Nov] and actually cried at the end of the series. Love the talented Martin Clunes here in Texas since All At # 20 and Men Behaving Badly! Can't imagine Doc Martin smelling dirty socks from the laundry to see if he can get another wear out of them!! lol! Love that he loves animals, especially dogs and horses! Phillipa is a lucky woman!

My wife and I have been racing through the first five seasons of the show (disappointed to have accidentally discovered that Martin and Louisa- who looks remarkable LIKE my wife- get married) and am already dreading when the show might end- I hope NEVER!

There were 2 movies made before the series The Doc wasn't as bad tempered in the movies Doc martin and Doc Martin and the Legend of the Cloutie, before that he was in Saving Grace
Cofusion reigns. I'm in OZ and saw an episode on utube which I'd not seen before. He was no longer a GP and was married to a woman who slept with three of his friends, during that marriage - to compensate, he became a fisherman who smoked cigs and dope. This upload contained no info re So or Eo ... perhaps I was watching Doc Who! I'd appreciate any assistance as we wont see the good man for sometime - we're generally a patient lot ... except for me that is.
What you saw was a separate movie, not the series. The film was also called Doc Martin, but he did play a London doctor, who leaves London, because his wife cheated on him. He does end up staying on in Port Isacc, as their town doctor. He wasn't a vadcular surgeon in this movie.
