As a Sixers fan, this looks very familiar: your PG dribbles for 20 seconds, passes it to your big who tries and scores while every one stands around and watches
Yep. It's staggering how Doc has gotten away with being this bad for so long. People want to scapegoat Embiid always, and while his health issues are a big part of the playoff failings, I can't help but wonder how far the team would've gotten without the saboteur as their coach for three years and then the overmatched Brett Brown for the previous 3 years.
This has nothing to do with Doc Rivers and this is the problem with fans and fanbases in 2024, they don't know enough about the game, they don't learn enough about how the game is actually played to be able to spot when someone is feeding them B.S. or clickbait about the game. Its the coaches fault that a hall of fame point guard and a hall of fame power forward can't execute a 1-4 high pick and roll with proper spacing? That's the most basic set in all of pro basketball. If they need the coach to call a time out or spend practice time going over that set then the season is already over. Call up your G-league team and call it a day.
@@MoralesCornerI feel like he’s gotta be playing it up a bit and he’s not actually that mad but honestly there’s no way of knowing for sure. Either way his videos are hilarious and informative
He doesn’t since he doesn’t even know that the bucks have been much better on defense since letting brain dead AG go and getting doc. The crack head who runs this channel is extremely biased.
@@thefourfourfour9512the league is a complete joke now. We constantly fuss about the lack of defense, but who needs defense when most teams are barely running plays correctly on offense. They’re all standing around doing nothing, it’s light years different than the 90’s and even the 2000’s
Lillard's lack of iq showing very well too. The guy has jumpshot for days and is a highlights machine but not the brightest tool in the toolbox. Not all is just bad coaching, coach can't make decisions for him.@@dumbassdude8372
Coaching also requires locker room management, Doc is very good at that (might be the only thing he's good at). It doesn't matter how good you are with X's & O's, if you lose the locker room, you lost everything and the Bucks have a bunch of hotheads on their team (Crowder, Portis, Beasley...).
@@Mr.Sax. LOLOL No coaching nowadays requires turning a blind eye to fundamentals and filing your nails while the refs turn blind eyes to clear travel violations. Its a prima donna league , scripted to the bone
@@vendu Dude, are you new?Crowder has clashed with multiple players in the past, even within his own team and are you seriously asking if Beasley is a hothead? An ex-con? He spent time in jail for threatening a family with a gun.
This video explains how giannis is the mvp and how this team just stands around providing no help or spacing and the entire opposing defense is able to guard one single guy. People aren’t even getting in position to receive a pass lol Crazy bucks season 😮💨
I remember the days of watching the Celts have 5 men beyond the 3 point line, one holding the ball and everyone else standing there watching without a thought of cutting or movement. I do not miss those times.
at least in the all star game they were not actually trying to play, it was just an exhibition so there is little to critique, in these games the players and coachs are actually trying to win
U can tell lots of players on Bucks lacking bbiq for improvising when the XnO breaks down. Not that there are many XnO with Doc in charge to begin with, lol. Also, Dame is clearly exposed ... dude doesn't have court vision to be good playmaker. His career assist per game is padded while playing for mediocre team before Bucks.
Even worse, I don't think doc has any understanding that it's his coaching that's causing the problems. Like I think he in his mind thinks that his players just suck
You could make a video of Doc coaching awful every day. Hard to feel bad for Giannis when reports are that his hand was in the mid season coaching change.
I think this just shows that Rondo's IQ as a point guard was really the driving force of that championship team's offense. Doc's coaching was a non-factor because when you pair a facilitator with elite passing and all the intangibles and bball IQ with two superstar vets, and the best 3pt shooter in the league, no amount of faulty coaching is going to cause them to lose because their natural talent and instinct will override the Rivers effect. Kinda like Steve Kerr with the Warriors. I don't think Kerr is a bad coach, but two generational shooters and a high IQ glue guy like Draymond is gonna get you somewhere no matter who's coaching. As for Lob City, I think they just needed one more Blake Griffin caliber guy to be good enough that Doc couldn't make them a first round exit.
Doc is one of those "inside guys" for some reason. He knows things about the NBA. He knows people behind the NBA. Whenever he gets fired the next night he's color commentary on whatever broadcast is going national that night. The NBA isn't just about athletics and competition. It's also about storylines, scandals, characters, scripts, themes, and Doc knows to play along. The Bucks turning to crap and being non competitive will get tons of clicks and views. If they make a comeback that will get even more. The refs will probably start calling their games differently once this gets more eyeballs.
Lmaoo, you should do episodes on coaches that get fired during the season. The nets just fired there coach you should go over on why so they can’t ever say it wasn’t there fault 😂🤣
I have been trying to find a good place to learn about basketball for a very long time and I am so glad I found your channel. Clearly players these days are worse because they aren't coachable. That is part of what is going on in more than just pro basketball.
@@trytinnthe leagues by far best player is a 285 pound 25% body fat man who cant dunk at 7’ Dont talk abt players being better now. All they are better at is playing no defense
@@pointbreak4490how's dunking a only sign of dominance? Jokic is better than any player in 80s ok almost any player. He's not better than Kareem, bird or magic... Yet
Thank you. Thank you for caring. We have an absolute epidemic of poor coaching. Something like 17 assistants on Doc's staff and Dame and Giannis still haven't figured out the pick and roll which was automatic last year. Giannis one on five is hard on the eyes then you watch them jog back like who cares and give up layups on the other end. Layups. Dunks and layups. Sickening.
Absolutely love this. Think there are a lot of bad coaches in professional sports getting paid way too much and this is excellent delivery of the message.
I’ll have to judge them after the break. I’m a Die Hard clippers fan and when we traded for Harden we lost 6 straight. Everyone said Harden was ruining the team and the clippers weren’t contenders. Look at us now! I say that to say give Doc Rivers time. Mid March Let’s revisit this conversation
Someone needs to start a petition for the Bucks to fire Doc RIvers and hire this guy. If that does not happen they should be strapped to chairs and forced to watch every Bucks video this guy makes.
As a Celtics fan, it's nice to see Doc still putting in work to help Boston win the East o7. Hope the Bucks keep him around for the rest of Giannis' prime.
