No “Ubuntu” it’s South Africa. Zulu/Xhosa to be exact. They are butchering the pronunciation but I love seeing the philosophy spread.

maybe you want to watch the documentary, and see how Desmond Tutu pronounces it. Doc Rivers has it correct.

It's actually a Sub-saharan phrase, the word does not belong to one tribe or culture.

In my Kikuyu language in Kenya, we say "ũmũndũ". In Swahili (which most Eastern African people speak, in addition to their native languages), it's Utu. We're all Bantu people, at least 500 million of us in Africa
