In this interview i sit down with the god himself DOC TC5. we talk about growing up in Brooklyn. Doing his 1st. piece in the summer of '77. seeing guys like DYNAMITE 149, 56 FAMILY, JOE 61 AND SONIC 002 coming up. Coming up with the name DOC after his mom suggested he become one as a career. He talk about street bomb vs. writing on trains. Being told to go in search of DONDI. We talk about the difference between TC5( THE CRAZY 5) and TC5 ( THE COOL 5). ARAB talks about going to the WRITERS BENCH only once and having a good reason for it....he also talks about Brooklyn having there own Writers Bench in Atlantic Ave. Suggesting i watch the Warriors because that was the way NEW YORK was back then in the 70's. Fighting his way back and forward to and from school. DOC talk about the layup he has hit. amazing chase stories that he would never forget. He talk about the recent Battle between TC5 VS. TMT. What happen during the battle and why it turn out so bad in the ending with the situation where Skeme started storing cars. and who actually WON the BATTLE. We talk about his opinion of the BALLBUSTERS....plus so much more....

The Original FBA were BallBusters and if you weren't from the hood and they didn't know you you had issues.

If you didn’t have beef in the 80’s as a writer, you really weren’t in the tunnels like that then. The 80’s was rough but real dudes never thought about not going somewhere because there might be beef. Cats who thought like this were soft and usually became prey. FBA, Flite TDS and then Fame CityCity were very territorial about the 145 th lay-up. If we didn’t know you or feel you, you got vamped. Point blank. Tack, Kaze, Spade, Airborne, Rask, Baby Rock were all FBA and affiliated with Ball Busters. That’s why herbs could not paint there in peace.

You're sitting in New York with Doc and not watched Warriors? I'm on the other side of the planet and that movie is essential viewing if you're remotely interested in New York.

Yeah, and fun fact: CAP is in the movie. He was an extra in the big gang meet up scene at the start. There used to be a photo of him from the scene floating around the internet.

Great series and I subscribed. However, I’m not really feeling the interviewer. Needs to do more follow up questions to some of the answers, instead of just saying “ok” then asking another question. And if you’re going to interview legend like this and never seen The Warriors, Style Wars, Wild Style or even Beat Street, then like Doc says, you really do need to do your homework. Never the less, dope interview still. Doc style is incredible. Interviewer just needs more practice learning how to dig a little deeper and ask more follow up questions instead of just saying “ok” to everything then moving on.
