Doc could sing better that these new "country" stars at almost 90 years old. And his playing is second to none......had a style all his own. R.I.P. Doc
Doc Watson. He’s making it look easy but I know he has talent, years of playing, practice , and excellent choice of songs. Amazing how good he was. I miss him.
Arthel Watson was and I guess still is my favorite picker. I saw him perform many times and was fortunate to have talked to him once. He was a good person. Thanks Doc.
I made a point of taking my two older boys to see him at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA about two years before he died. I wanted both to be able to say they'd seen the legend that is Doc, who is sorely missed.

Has anyone watched this episode of Songs of the Mountains? I turned it on in the middle of the song prior to this one and I am dying to figure out what the song prior to this is called. It's a fast flat picking song. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
