@@toalesovikk7168 HPV is not commonly just laying around on the floor to my knowledge, but it is spread through a huge variety of much more common interactions
Does that look like a gym floor? I am assuming it's a school event and maybe she handled ALOT of confetti off the floor. People aren't taught dont collect stuff from heavily trafficked areas, don't wear shoes in the house, keep your hands off your face! You would be amazed at how much fecal matter is on sidewalks and public floors! Oh and wash your hands when you have been out in the world.
My 8yr old son ended up getting warts on his fingers and had two sessions with freezing from our family doctor. These treatments failed to clear them up and only caused pain. When they grew back again for the third time, the neighbourhood cowboy told us to pick some dandelions and squeeze the milk out on to them a couple of times a day…. they quickly turned dark grey and were gone within the week and didn’t return!! Also, the dandelion treatment didn’t cause any pain! ** edit to add …Quite frankly, it would be awesome if someone from the science-y community could figure out what the active ingredient is…
@@chetanrsthe doctor just said it was a common hpv. He was young and likely picked them up from a community playground. They just looked like normal warts - he had them on one of his thumbs and a few of his fingers
I tested positive for HPV infection after I had already had two doses of Gardasil (tbf, this was back when it was only quadrivalent). Doc gave me a list of all the possible strains it could be, told me my then boyfriend couldn’t catch it, and that there’s nothing I can do to treat it. It wasn’t the genital warts causing kind, that’s what he said. It eventually went away on its own after a year or two. And then just last year I got a plantar wart on my hand from using my fiancé’s nail clippers, which the doctor said was likely either HPV 1 or 2.
gardasil only protects against a couple of the worst strains, there’s tons of different HPV strains that the vaccine doesn’t do anything to prevent. at least 80% of sexually active adults are infected with HPV at some point
You got a couple things mixed up. HPV is not 1 or 2, there’s many strains. You are thinking of HSV 1 and two which refer to herpes. Plantar wart by definition means wart in the bottom part of your foot because plantar means sole of your foot. I assume you meant you got a wart on your finger. Your boyfriend for sure could be a carrying for cancer causing HPV. That’s how they give it to women. They just cannot be tested for it because they don’t have cervix to test for it. The high risk HPV strains that cause cervical cancer are not the same strains that cause warts. You likely had one strain that caused your cervical changes and a different one that caused the warts on your finger
Yeah he is over here making me more scared of sharing my space with others😃 I still haven’t got hpv, herpes whatever tf that is man I don’t want to deal with with blisters outside my mouth looks painful💀
As a very clean person, I still got it. Probably because a family member got it and we both walked barefoot in the bathroom. Can't even shower without worries in your own home eh ._.) All that to say, washing your hands is very important. But don't beat yourself up over it if you get any variant, 80% rate is very high after all :/
Exactly why safe sex is important, HPV is also what causes downstairs warts. Your partner might have HPV but no warts, you might get them anyway. If your immune system is bad, they don’t go away on their own either.
More importantly, hpv causes cancer. HPV vaccination protects against cervical /anogenital cancers so everyone should get this vaccine If ur over 25 then not as effective and may not be a point to getting it but if ur under 25 and haven't had it, pls do!
I strongly advise for people to use sandals when showering or any public floor. I got a huge wart once on my foot and it was not fun. I had surgery to get it removed. It was as big as a penny probably a bit bigger.
@@nattttzip The hpv vaccine can literally prevent you from getting cancer and some people (not talking about op) will still refuse to take it. But, if that's what they want for themselves it's fine by me
@@nattttzip Yeah, but there are hundreds of strains of HPV, and the current vaccine only protects against 9 of them. And the millennials like me who were teenagers when the original vaccine came out are only protected against *FOUR* of the strains, and that's just those of us who even bothered to get it since it was brand spankin' new.
More likely than not, you’ll just get a wart. All warts are HPV. If you get it on your hand or foot, it will not travel down to the genitals or face. It’s treatable with certain patches or a freezing method
can confirm, I used to wear sandals in our garden and I got a bunch of mosaic plantar warts! didn't go away the first time they were frozen too, we had to do it twice
@@tracy3418 you have to see derm and they might freeze them off. you can try over the counter treatments. Apple cider vinegar works as well for holistic treatment. Plantar warts have a root.
Same. :/ swimming lessons, got a plantar wart right in the center of my heel when I was about 10yo. That thing _hurt._ And the debriding process was so horribly uncomfortable. 😭
Got facial warts once. peds ICU patient had them and I was anal about instructing everyone to wash their hands and not touch their face. Obviously I didn’t follow my own advice. Took a year worth of dermatologist visits to get them all gone. What a nightmare.
My husband swears to God he had his worts "bought" by an old man new his grandpap new. He asked him how many warts he thought he had and my husband as a 10 year old told him his family had counted and he had 97. Old man askes the bar tender, VFW type bar, open to the public for lunch, askd for 97 pennies for dollar in change and he counted the pennies and said he would like to "buy the warts." Apparently they were gone with in weeks. It's a very Appalachian type of folk story. His entire family backs this story up.
Yeah, me and my sibling got warts. Me when I was in junior high and recently my sibling. I used the home method my aunt used to do which is to wash the feet and use salisylic acid to wipe, clean, and disinfect the area of the warts and then buy a special band aid with a salisylic acid cream in the middle. This way we get less hospital bills and 100% works.
I got my first wart on the palmer side of my left ring finger when I was ten. At that time, I swam three days a week, took piano lessons 1-2 times a week, and did karate twice a week. Oh, and I was in school. We had no idea where it came from and it took a few years for it to have some friends. It's gone now but I still have three plantar warts on the ball of my right foot. And I thought keeping medicine in my fingers was hard.
And they started vaccinating 11 Yr old girls WITHOUT parental consent for it in my country. My daughters personality COMPLETELY changed after the cacci e..I had NOT given consent. But the school allowed it and the little god of misery (nurse) was more than happy to go against protocol.
I got a pretty small plantar wart on my toe which took forever to get out with trying different treatments until I used this rosin bandage which softened my skin and got more of the outer layers of skin off so I needed up cutting the wart out
My cousin got it from a swimming pool at the YMCA😅 thankfully I never contracted it but I do remember her showing everyone her plantar wart😂 lowkey my start of my tryphobia😂😂
I wish i had been able to find this out sooner. A couple of years ago i found out i had hpv and it was confusing for me because i hadn't had sex in years so I didn't understand what happened. Nobody in the medical field told me anything like this but thankfully they said it would clear up in a year which it did upon another test.
If she was at eras tour, i would put more money on it being bracelet trading. Lots of skin to skin bracelet swapping off of arms. It could roll right onto your hand that way
The fact that these people are picking up confetti off the floor is so bizarre to me but it’s not surprising since they’re Taylor Swift fans I find out those people are so unbelievably loony!😂
It happens at most concerts that use confetti bombs, not just Taylor Swift concerts. It's memorabilia of the concert that you can collect for free. Plus, it helps with the clean-up effort for staff that have to spend hours picking it all up anyway
Nephew had us doing it at 1 of the shows in Disney World. Never did get that scrap book made, but those tissue paper circles made him happy. (Also probably wasn't much additional risk considering we were required to sit on the floor for the show.)
I was born in 2000, and I remember my mom taking me and my sis to many different drs appointments where we got shots that I guess make most HPV not effect you 😭 I’m so glad she did that and it’s sad more people don’t get that important vaccination just because it’s multiple shots over time so it takes longer to be officially “done”
Most people have been vaccinated against HPV as a child in my country, it started as three dose, when was my time to get it was lessen to two doses, nowadays is a one time dose. It's campaign started as girls only (because of the servix cancer), but then got extended to boys too. It's weird that others countrys don't have a complete vacine scheme like Brazil, even thought even in here a lot of people been refusing to get vaccinated or vaccinate their child lately.
I work really hard to keep from touching things other people touch. Gyms and pools do make me uncomfortable. Other kids loved being around me when I was like this 😂
Reminds me of when cat breeders told me "all cats have herpes. There are statistically no cats that are free of herpes. There are just those without symptoms"
Me getting a wart on side of my thumb and I figured I got it from the gym because it's the main place where that area of thumb comes in contact with surfaces 😢
Remembering a nurse try to convince me my partner cheated on me and gave my cervical cancer HPV, having a whole melt down about my life and losing the one I love, then finding out I could gotten it anywhere, including my cheating ex that got a side piece pregnancy and watching that nurse get dismissed in front of me
I had warts on my feet. It was painful a couple of months to step on them, but eventually my immune system dealt with that and warts had never returned. I have no idea how did I get that, since I never walk barefoot 🤷

HPV getting into mucosa tissue - that's tge only issue. On the derma us basically harmless except immunodepressed but even healthy ones are susceptible to issues caused my mucosal infections. Sallicilic acid for dermals but on mucosal tissue can lead to tumors.
We need to respect the human body more than we do because how are we not all walking around with fungus growing out our every orifice right now as disgusting alot of people are nowadays.
Oddly, my Oncologist didn’t question me about my “horizontal master bedroom mambo” history when she was preparing to remove my female reproductive organs due to cervical cancer… 🧐 The more you know… 💫
I had THE BOGGEST wart on my elbow, everytime I put my arms on the table it hurt, so fucking much. I had it frozen, I had it burnt and it still grew back. I got so fed up with it I cut it out with a knife, navigating everything by watching myself in the mirror. It never came back, I think we both got traumatised.
Yes you can.. there are over 100 strains.. some strains can only affect your hands, feet other parts of your body. As stated in the video approx 30 affect the genital region. The vaccine only protects against 9 types which are high risk strains that affect the genital region. You can still get a low risk hpv strain in the genital region even tho you have the vaccine.
Also symptoms depend on your immune system. Some people are just carries and are asymptomatic while others will have mild or full blown symptoms. Like wise how long you have symptoms depends on how strong your immune system is. Its a virus so it never truly goes away just goes dormant. In some people even after the immune systems fights the infection it can reactive later in life.
For some people vaccination can help reduce the burden of common warts (such as those found on the hands), but thats not always the case. Most benign strains of warts are not covered by the vaccine
Not sure if its relevant but, as someone who works at a concert venue.. DONT PICK UP CONFETTI. (I like to hand clean confetti out) but seriously, THAT FLOOR HAS SEEN BEER, FOOD, VOMIT, PISS AND SHIT. Ive seen it all, people are disgusting at concerts. After an event, and everyone leaves. Night workers pick up the trash, broom the best they can before engineers can take apart the stage or lighting. BUT IVE NEVER SEEN IT MOPPED. Ever. (Im not in a position that stays late at night nor cleans but i know HK does only mop and sweep up beer spills and liquids DURING EVENTS. After? Not sure about that) To add, I've been to plento of venues all over the US. Just saying. Not just concert venues but stadiums too. Just be safe picking up nasty confetti. Enjoy the show 😃
HSV-1 is also common and doesn't cause any harm. This one causes cold sores. In fact some studies have proven it helps and can act as a defense mechanism. You can get HPV without knowing it and it's not bad. Basic skin to skin contact can cause you to get it.
Excuse me, cold sores can be transferred to the gentials through skin contact and then you have genitle herpes. Lots of people dont know that and they should.
@@brocksampson2590 They didn't say it can't, they are correct that HSV-1 is mostly associated with cold sores. Yes, both HSV-1 and HSV-2 can spread to the mouth or genitals, but HSV-1 is much more common as a non-sexually transmitted disease that most people have, albeit mostly dormant. HSV-2 is uncommon in comparison, and most commonly sexually transmitted.
