The film crew used a scan of Elizabeth Olsen’s eyes to create the giant tentacled creature’s eyeball, which foreshadows her role as the film’s primary antagonist
Man, that one second where Wanda looks directly at the camera after taking over her other self was just a perfect bit of filmmaking. Sends a chill down your spine thinking that maybe, just maybe, she can see YOU through the multiverse, like she KNOWS you're watching her
The funny thing about the second Spiderman film, is that it was just "happy" enough that you almost wouldn't recognize that Sam Raimi was directing it..and then there is the scene in the hospital with the tentacles, and its like, "Oh..there he is!!"
@@jojonono27, Army of Darkness was the best of the Evil Dead series of movies, IMO. As expected, we got a Bruce Campbell cameo like we did in all three of the Raimi Spider-Man movies.
The director of this movie is Sam Raimi and he also directed my favorite movie series of all time, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness. They are horror movies but have a good amount of humor. And they star the actor who played Pizza Poppa in Multiverse of Madness, the guy who was punching himself.
@@Metzwerg74 nah it isn't. It's great what they managed to achieve with such a low budget and what it was for the time, but nowadays it doesn't nearly pack the same punch. The remake did a great job translating what the original was for a modern audience, kept it faithful, and remains one of the best horror movies of the 2010's even on its own. Evil Dead 2 and AoD are the GOAT though.
It was weird when the scene with the two Wanda’s and the kids came in I wasn’t expecting that. I never thought you could feel sad and terrified at once, but I genuinely felt like one of those kids in that moment. It just got dark super fast…Raimi didn’t disappoint
Remember in the first Doctor Strange, when Strange grabbed that glowing thing and Caecilius said, “You don’t know how to use that, do you?” At 24:38, we find out how to use it.
Also in the first Dr. Strange when the ancient one sends him on that trippy journey during her explanation, she puts her thumb on his forehead and says "open your eye"
"You ever had that dream when you're falling, as if you've been pushed off a tall building?" "That was probably me." I get chills every time... the implications to this what dreams are... More I watch this film, more I come to appreciate it.
19:22 Seeing Professor X and Scarlet Witch in the same live action movie together, brings me back to the old X-Men cartoons growing up watching! Now this, puts a smile on my face 😌
In the comics, Black Bolt is the leader of the Inhumans, a group of genetically altered superhumans with superpowers. His power is his hypersonic voice, which can rip anything apart with sound waves, which is why he doesn't speak most of the time.
So finally we see Professor Charles Xavier in the MCU or at least the MCM (Marvel Cinematic Multiverse) who exist in the public on this world to an unknown capacity rocking his Animated Series chair and suit while the 90s X-Men theme plays. I highly recommend checking out the X-Men Animated Series it's on Disney Plus and is up there with Batman: The Animated Series as one of the best superhero cartoons. It's unknown if Mutants even exist in Earth-616 as they've never been brought up all we can do is wait until they're introduced. Many people online believe this Professor X to be the one from the 1990s X-Men show which isn't the case. The X-Men 1990s show existed in a universe pretty similar to the mainline comic universe of Earth-616 it was just set in the 1990s where characters like Spider-Man got his powers in the 90s rather than the 1960s. It had many of the same story lines from the comic's but made changes to certain storylines to keep them fresh just like the MCU. This universe had character's like Captain America and Carol Danvers as Captain America which isn't the case for Earth-838 where Captain Carter is the first Avenger instead of Steve who's where about in this universe is unknown to us. Summed up this Professor X is inspired visually by the 1990s show while also drawing elements from the Fox X-Men movies such as quoting a line from Days of Futures Past and featuring Sir Patrick Stewart as the face of this Professor X. In Days of Future Past we do see Charles in a smaller yellow hover chair existing in this new future where everything seems more advanced. Many have theorized that Earth-838 could be the future of the Days of Future Past timeline but again this is all theories but I can see Charles chair from Days of Future Past advancing into the the chair we see in this film. Captain Carter of Earth-838 is not the same one from the What If series. I'm assuming that both have a similar origin story and no doubt there own versions of Winter Solider and Civil War but there both still from two different universes. Mister Fantastic along with the Fantastic Four are yet to be introduced into the mainline MCU with the Mister Fantastic we see in this film no doubt already having like 4 movies worth of stories and development.
@@scottneil1187 Get use to it lol this is how I usually comment and you’re the only person to ever reply “TLDR”. If you don’t want to read my comments that’s completely fine but don’t embarrass yourself by stating you’re inability to take the time to read a comment that has a more than one paragraph.
I'm really interested in the Captain Carter's backstory and if it's similar to what we saw in What if maybe Steve has an Iron Suit in this universe as well.
And Kang is a descendant of Reed Richards, so Kang only exists in universes where Reed has children. So he will eventually exist in that universe and seek revenge for the possible incursion into his universe by Dr. Strange and America Chavez
While there were a few things I disliked in this film, I thought it really showed (and gave mad respect) how dangerous Strange and Wanda can be. The story was a little off at points, but in the end, I'm so down to watch Strange and America have more adventures at Kamar-Taj and the Multiverse. The 'music' battle between Dr. Strange and Strange Supreme was one of the best things I've witnessed live action. I also love the fact they constantly show that all power comes with a price. That was always the background warning thru Dr. Strange's comics. The guy can call upon a ridiculous power set, namely thru deals brokered with gods, demons, and other entities. But he is always kept in balance by the cost of doing such. It defeats the 'well it's just magic' fix all when it comes to passing off bad writing. And good news about multiverse storytelling, those missed parts are easily explained by saying it's only one possible version of characters/events.
Wanda is beyond redemption at this point. She just isn't getting the memo that grief is no excuse for mass murder and/or enslavement. I'm sorry for her losses, I really am, but she's not the first person to lose loved ones, and the grieving process typically doesn't involve becoming a comic supervillain.
It looks like a horror because the great director behind this movie, Sam Raimi, the creator of the legendary and only Evil Dead franchise (a franchise you shoukd for sure watch)
Bit of fun trivia: the man playing Pizza Poppa is Bruce Campbell, who is one of Sam Raimi's oldest and closest friends (they started making films together as children). Raimi will not pass up a chance to have Bruce smack himself around or to torment him from off camera.
Priviet Dasha. I really liked this movie. One of the best parts for me was Stephen and America going through different earths. In comics and graphic novels, Wanda's son Billy became Wiccan and joined Strikeforce. Monica Rambeau from Wandavision became Spectrum. So cool.
I was so happy that they finally brought X-Men and the Fantastic Four in the MCU well not in the main universe but they will have them in the main MCU soon. Because of fucking movie rights, X-Men and Fantastic Four characters were not allowed in the MCU not even in marvel games such as Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, it was god damn bullshit.
Hello Dasha! There was a famous cameo actor in this movie, Ash, the hot dog vendor, who is also a bad ass zombie slayer from the movies "Evil Dead 2" and "Army of Darkness". You do not need to see 'Evil Dead 1' since it is not as good, and #2 is a better, more modern remake. You MUST watch Evil Dead 2 and then Army of Darkness. They are by the same director as this movie. They are scary but also VERY FUNNY! You will like them very much! Cheers! 😃✌
Sam Raimi is one of my favorite directors, I'm glad you appreciated the horror elements in the movie. I have issues with how they handled Wanda's ending, but overall the film was very fun
I still say that if they had made as big a deal about Vision's funeral as they did about Stark's then Wanda would have had an easier time processing her grief so all that damage and death toll could have been avoided if Wanda had gotten the support she needed
"Where does she go? What does she do?" I would have looked for a universe where the two boys were orphaned. Wanda must have gotten killed in a superpowered battle somewhere, surely. If not that, she learns to deal with the pain and move on with her life like all the rest of us have to do when we lose those we love.
If only Anakin Skywalker realized he wasn’t a monster when he got to the room of younglings just like Scarlet Witch did when Wanda’s boys got scared of her.
For me this movie is a mixed bag. THE PROS: - Elizabeth Olsen's performance - Sam Raimi's directing visuals THE CONS: - The writing. Far too many MacGuffins, Mystery Boxes, and Plot Holes combined with IP disrespect. Marvel's source material deserves respect and it isn't being given. How Disney treats their purchased IP reminds me of a rich spoiled brat kid who doesn't care that they break all their expensive toys. Marvel itself started abusing and disregarding their own lore continuity starting in the 1990's. There were still some great individual stories that respected key aspects, but the built up continuity of Marvel as a whole was forsaken. The MCU foundation was developed in the 90's to simplify & recapture the original spirit in film. It takes time to dismantle a film foundation but Disney is dismantling that spirit.
enjoy this film as much as you can, I think it will be the last decent marvel movie you will get, prepare for marvel crap editions for the next 10 years. when Disney files for bankruptcy things may turn around.
@@brusso456 You're right. Enjoyment is a struggle here. I saw this one visiting a friend who wanted to watch it. Otherwise i would have ignored it. I saw the direction the Disney MCU was heading long ago. I also pay attention to who is making it and what is being talked about during production. Scott Derrickson left the project for good reasons.
Now you have to watch the Evil Dead series that stars Bruce Campbell. Sam Rami who directed the movie loves to put Bruce Campbell(The food stand guy) in his films. They're friends from high school.
3:58 _"We_ have experience of the Multiverse. Most recently, there was an incident with Spider-Man." "Whoooo- What-man?" "Climbs walls. Shoots webs." "Yeah. Bingo." "Out of his _butt?"_ "No." And here, they acknowledge a curious _difficulty_ they must have faced, at some point, with Spider-Man's character traits. They had to be _thorough_ in their consideration of just what spider traits to _give_ him. The conversation must've gone _something_ like this: "Let's see. The average spider is able to lift 10 to 20 times its weight." "Okay. Yeah. Well, I mean, what superhero doesn't have super _strength,_ nowadays? Let's give him _that_ trait." "Okay. Spiders also are able to climb walls and _ceilings."_ "That sounds good, too. I mean, why else would it make sense to call him 'Spider-Man?'" "Spiders, most of them, are also able to shoot _webbing."_ "Well, I mean, that _too_ would make sense, given his name. Yeah. Let's include that." "The webbing comes out of their _abdomen._ Should we have Spider-Man develop web spinners _there?"_ "Oh. Well, no. He can shoot the webbing from... the ends of his hands. That's _much_ better." "Spiders also have six eyes." "Yeah... let's leave that out. Two eyes are fine." "Okay. They also have eight _limbs."_ "Well, I mean, that sounds _horrifying._ Let's leave _that_ out, too." "And _exoskeletons."_ "Okay. We're not crafting a hero for a _horror_ movie, here. No, no. His _skeleton_ will be _internal."_ "Are you sure? You don't think it could be useful as some kind of _armor?"_ "Well, no. He's _Spider-Man,_ but he's still a _vertebrate."_ "Okay. Now spiders aren't just _carnivores._ They're also _cannibals._ It's their standard instinct, every time they encounter another spider, to try to _kill_ it. The only time this instinct is dormant is when it's subsumed under _another_ instinct, like the instinct to _mate._ That's why, after two spiders mate, the normal instincts reassert themselves, they fight, and the one that _wins_ the fight kills and eats the one that _loses_ it, even if that one is her _mate._ You want him to have _this_ trait?" "Good _god,_ no. You want to give the audience _nightmares?"_
If you miss watching Marvel content you still have 7 seasons of Agents of Shield that you can watch as well as all of the Netflix shows if you haven't seen those.
Same, I felt like she already went through a major grief journey in WandaVision, was hoping they weren't just going to throw her back into it again... and they did. :(
Wanda just illuminated the illuminati, but so hyped by that ending scene ...maybe finally Dr strange supreme cause you know Dormamu vibes from that portal by that purple suited Lady. This movie was without warning very horrific...like seriously some shots gave me goosebumps . 22:35 Yes in someways he's the same evil Strange . 23:38 Yeah cause if you remember he read that book last page while it was burning ( book of vaishanti or something) ,and in doc Strange 1 he said the warnings come after the spells. So he knew exactly what to do 27:02 If you can't defeat some one from outside defeat them from within
I'm so glad you loved it. It was so much fun seeing a Marvel movie take chances and get Raimi back to work after a decade was a real treat. I loved the hell out of this movie and it hurts that it was lost on so many people.
so, a quick thought for you to ponder.....something that seems to be that EVERYONE forgot STRANGE HAS A PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY!!!!! the fact that Strange studied the darkhold....the darkhold can now, no longer be destroyed, without Strange being killed as well So long as A Strange exists WHO STUDIED the darkhold........the darkhold continues to exist
As always a great reaction, you might like a superhero trilogy with a difference from the director of 'Sixth Sense'. The movies are 'Unbreakable' 'Split' & 'Glass' with Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson. Please also watch Red Sparrow and Lucy.
Seconded. Unbreakable is one of the greatest movies ever made, let alone perhaps the best superhero movie out there. And Split is extremely enjoyable too.
still get around how dirty they did Blackbolt he may not be as strong as a reality bender but that was an awful way for him to go out hes a King and an Ambassador of multiple Planets hes beaten the Hulk with one punch and on another occasion with his Voice hes tangled with Thanos and theres even a place where people can go both hero and villain enemy and friend to discuss matters in a civilized manner there is NO fighting there because anyone that tries it gets a verbal warning from Blackbolt himself so they all behave...and they go treat him like this....its so sad
@@aerthreepwood8021 this is the same version of him from that series so my only consolation is that this is some writers litte way of fixing their mistake and destroying that Version of Black Bolt maybe to make way for a proper version out with the dumb in with the cool
Hi. This is the first video of yours that I am commenting. I liked Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness. I find the idea of multiverses (or parallel universes) to be intriguing. I was giddy inside when I saw Patrick Steward as Xavier again. I look forward to seeing more and more videos of yours.
Well originally her break down was because of Vision, and she created kids in her fantasy. Yet her to do this multiverse thing over fake kids, and not over Vision was kinda dumb.
13:22 wow, i've seen dasha cry alot but there is something different about these tears. at the end of these few seconds i think she's about to ugly cry... i wish she didn't cut that out. 😥❤️
@17:03 You need to watch the "Inhumans" TV Show; you'll get more back story as to what he's capable of. Blackbolt is played by the same actor in the tv show as well. Kinda disappointed that not more people recognized Blackbolt in this movie, as he's a pretty significant Marvel character :/
The Inhumans only exist because marvel lost the rights to X-men, and wanted to kill them all off. The Keeper of the Terrigen Mist existing in the same media as Professor X is a slap in the face.
5:09 "It was a dream. But... does it mean that, in somewhere, in different reality, she _has_ those kids?" In fact, it means she has those kids in _several_ different realities. Here, though, she ends up being kind of _selfish._ I mean, in every such reality, those kids already have a _mother._ All her focus, here, is on _getting_ to a reality where she has kids. She's putting _no_ consideration into what's going to happen to her _counterpart,_ there.
6:42 It's curious, I think. This scene makes it clear, neither Dr. Strange nor Wong nor _anyone_ in the Kamar-Taj has ever studied _The Art of War_ by Sun Tzu or picked up any of its principles anywhere else. Now there's a _reason_ this book is required reading at military academies and business schools all over the _world._ Sun Tzu's wisdom is _timeless_ and timelessly _effective_ and this scene looks _totally different_ after one has read this book. "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable. When using our forces, we must seem inactive. When we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away. When far away, we must make them believe we are near." So one's primary concern in _any_ conflict must be the introduction of unreliable intel about oneself into one's adversary's understanding. In this case, that would mean using a cloak to render America Chavez invisible and deploying a decoy to create the appearance that she's in a different place. One would have to make the decoy fairly sophisticated as well, so by the time Scarlet Witch catches on that it's a decoy, she's home again, and you've got America Chavez well and truly spirited elsewhere; ideally, some place she can't be tracked.
20:03 At _this_ point, though, they're just being stupid. Why has Scarlet Witch stopped running? Well, obviously, because there's a heavy _door_ blocking her path. Why has everyone _else_ stopped running? Seriously, why? Not a rhetorical question. I would like to know. The heavy door is _behind_ them. The path _ahead_ of them is wide _open_ and _free_ and _clear._ Are they watching to see if, suddenly, it's going to make Scarlet Witch lose _interest?_ Go, people! Go! Go! Go! Go!
It would have been cooler having Strange, Wanda and Wong fight an overpowered evil Strange, then made evil Strange Wanda the proposition to join him so she could have her children
lol...The Critical Drinker nailed it when he said Wanda killed the Illuminati in order of privilege! Or was it the Nerdrotic guy? One of those two...anyway, killer observation.
Wanda became an S tier villain in this movie. Like Sam Raimi made her a horror icon and I’m a horror fan so seeing how scary she was was amazing. The fact she was so powerful and just fucking shit up but keeping her motive sympathetic was very good like they didn’t beat Wanda they only beat her by showing her what she became.
l and sam brother Ted Raimi(Joxer the Mighty) are often in his movies, but I guess he got to settle with Bruce in this one....btw both Ted and Bruce are big guest stars in both xena/hercules universe tv show :o
Clea in the niece of Dormammu and at one point in time was married to Doctor Strange, I think the movies are leading up to Secrete Wars where these incursions are a main focus. Kang also talked about the incursions in the Loki series, it's all tied together. I also would bet money that Wanda comes back, she's not dead.
Beautiful reaction dasha. This is my favorite mcu movie to date and I love Wanda/ Scarlet Witch alot, I know most people don't side with the villain but in this one I absolutely did. How she killed the Illuminati was brilliant and inevitable. America Chavez and Zombie Dr. Strange were great characters.
hello dasha the appearance of charles xavier and reed richard from the fantastic four is to emphasize that marvel has bought the film rights to x-men and fantastic four from fox
So I might be wrong but I don't think there's any negative effect of the third eye but it's still real early to tell unless there's a comic that tells more also I think I saw a video explaining something along the line of in order for this universe to survive Wanda must be made to suffer so everything that happened to her parents dead brother dead now no children all had to happen to keep our universe intact I don't know how but if what that person said is true than damn Wanda is fighting to just have a happy time before she has to suffer but makes a little since considering she's a Nexus Being also The Scarlet Witch is likely not dead cause I don't think a witch could use magic if she's dead and we saw her red magic
So many questions, the Scarlett Witch / Doctor Strange are responsible for the deaths of that universes greatest heros. Do you think that universe will seek revenge on him and his universe and that will start the Multiversal War? In the scene where they destroy their Dr. Strange, they are on the ruins of Titan, which many people have theorized was destroyed as the epicenter of the multiversal war. (Maybe the destruction of Titan was really caused by incursions created on Titan) why didn’t Wanda just look for a version of her children where Wanda may have died and they didn’t have a mother. Where was Vision? Does he exist in other universes? If not who were the fathers of her children in those universes. Were her children still existing in some kind of spell like in Wanda vision or were they real? I can think of a hundred more but every question brings only more questions. Lol PS So many great things in the Illuminati scenes. Professor X (mutants) Black Bolt (inhumans) Captain Carter, Reed Richards (Fantastic 4) Maria Rambo as Captain Marvel instead of Carol Danvers. Also Wanda does not exist but the power of the scarlet witch does and my be represented in other universes as a red power that is the most powerful power in that universe IE…The Phoenix ( Jean Grey)
