Wanda IS stronger than Strange actually, even without the dakrhold, darkhold only gave her spells for dreamwalking and made her insane. It's explained pretty clear in wandavision and this movie too, she's an entity that is supposed to either destroy or rule over the whole cosmos, her power skills are more diverse than Strange's, Strange has to do spells to do magic, Wanda's chaos magic allows her to alter reality, strange cannot do that.

@@umiayamlewis1114 Technically every character in the MCU is nerfed so...Both Wanda and Strange were. But I also dont think they had enough fights against each other to compare fairly. They fought for like a total of 30 seconds. Maybe if we had an actual fight we could have had a more accurate comparison. But we have to remember the MCU isnt the comics. In the MCU, Wanda can be more powerful than Strange but in the comics, he could more powerful than Wanda. It's just been pushed in interviews that Wanda is more powerful and even confirmed in the MCU itself in both WV and MoM

The reason why Wanda could kill CM was because she absorbed her cosmical energy. You can notice that when Wanda and CM starts spinning around, the latter is overpowering Wanda but eventually her energy starts to get absorbed by Wanda, erasing the cosmical energy that all Captain Marvels use as a kind of armor, thus killing her with a statue.

For some clarification on the Captain marvel death, during the fight Wanda actually absorbs her power which is why you can see her mask coming apart. And then Wanda expels her powers out into a blast thus the big explosion, and since she is powerless it makes her a easy target, but the movie didn't do a good job illustrating this.

The darkhold only gives spells and corrupt it's users, so Wanda's magic has always been stronger than Doctor Strange, which makes her incredibly dangerous with or without the darkhold.

Exactly. The Darkhold just provided Wanda the knowledge on new spells and how to strengthen her Chaos Magic. Everybody gets it mixed up. The Darkhold provides knowledge, not power. The reader has to study the knowledge they're given, otherwise the book does nothing for you.

If the Darkhold made someone stronger, Agatha would have been able to beat Wanda. But it actually weakens through corruption of mind and spirit, which will last longer and be harder to break free of.

The dark hold only gives spells. The scarlet witch it the most powerful character in the marvel comics. No one has beaten her. I have read most those comic books. She is the daughter of the scarlet warlock which she has chaos magic, which was around before the universe even existed. Not even the Phoenix can beat Wanda.

Wanda is far more powerful than Strange, by raw power. He's magically smarter than her though. Chaos Magic is 1 of THE strongest MCU forms of magic. She was born with it and it was amplified from exposure to the Mind Stone while Strange's Eldritch Magic is drawn from other dimensions. Plus, his magic requires incantations while Chaos Magic can be executed by just a finger or hand twitch or by just a thought. Plus, Chaos Magic can warp and/or shatter reality, both universally and multiversally. Strange doesn't have that ability. Although, after having the Darkhold for a year, Wanda's magical intelligence isn't too far behind Strange's. The book gave her endless new spells to study and master and gave her the knowledge on how to strengthen and manipulate her Chaos Magic, so her magic IQ is nearly neck and neck with Strange's. Even Endgame Wanda was already more powerful than Strange. Her raw power and her magic's ties to her emotion makes her magic insanely wicked.

WandaVision episode 9: It’s written in the Darkhold that the Scarlet Witch is stronger than the Sorcerer Supreme. Strange was destined to be the next Sorcerer Supreme (and the strongest according to the Ancient One) but he got blipped, so Wong took his position. In other words, Wanda is more powerful than Strange.

Patrick is tripping, Wanda is more powerful than Doctor Strange...she could fight off 5 stone Thanos with 1 hand while destroying the 6th stone, then she completely was overpowering the stronger full gauntlet Thanos without effort. Scarlet Witch was an amp to Wanda that was already more powerful than Doctor Strange. Which btw, Kevin Feige even said long before WandaVision that the most powerful character in the MCU was Wanda! Jerry just doesn't know, Scarlet Witch actually does handle Professor X that easily when her mind started to break. That's part of what lead to Avengers vs. X-Men, when Professor X could no longer even imagine containing Wanda's power anymore and she warped all of reality including the disappearance of Professor X...after he decided that Wanda had to be killed.

Although I like Scarlet witch a lot she really had so many advantages however she held back at the same time. Same goes for strange as he refrained from using techniques that would’ve hurt the other universe wanda as mcu Wanda was using her. Mcu Wanda gave strange many chances to just walk away as she instantly took out anyone who came her way. She’s way more powerful as she has better control of her powers as she siphoned Agatha’s power and got a huge boost from the dark hold. I think had strange gotten a hold of the book of vishanti which is the opposite of it he would’ve pushed her back but not to the point of killing her. That third eye is a peak of what’s to come for him as he has so much potential while being a prodigy at the same time. That prophecy or saying of him being a danger isn’t exactly an exaggeration as we’ve all see what if and what a variant of him is capable of

She was literally created by the first demon to ever exist eons ago, as a vessel for him to take over the -616 universe. You simply cannot compare Strange to her, let alone think he's more powerful than her. He's just an average human man who studied the mystic arts, but she's a being destined to rule the universe.

I also agree Wanda has telepathy but Xavier is a way more powerful skill telepath than Wanda with multiple abilities that he stems from with it. She maybe more powerful than him overall but not in telepathy it should have been a more of a struggle battle for Wanda fighting in the mind with Xavier.

That mind is not the 616-Wanda (Scarlet Witch) but to 838-Wanda. Xavier is just focusing to 838-Wanda to help her free herself so Scarlet Witch will be back to her own consciousness. Since Xavier can't read Scarlet Witch's mind bcs shes in another universe, she was able to think a way to beat him.

Without the darkhold, Wanda is still more powerful than Strange. Wanda can rewrite reality as what we saw in WandaVision and that time she wasn't even aware of her true power, Strange can't rewrite reality. And, Wanda is born with magic. Her powers are raw. Strange was born without magic, his magic is eldritch were they just borrow power from magical beings from other dimensions. Wanda was able to kill Captain Marvel because Wanda siphoned her powers making her vulnerable. Gosh, you guys should be more observant before you speak. ugh

The mask that captain marvel had on helped control her power so when Wanda destroyed it captain marvel didn’t have her powers anymore. Also the only reason reed told wanda that blackbolt could destroy her with one whisper from his mouth is because they seriously underestimated her. I like how the directors even told us that the fight with the Illuminati wanda was nerfed.

Wanda with raw power would have been able to kill thanos Yk before thanos had called the strike bc wanda was messin him up. Strange fought thanos 1v1 and he held his own but wanda had a way better shot of killing him herself. I still think Dr strange is one of the strongest marvel characters but I think wanda is stronger even without the darkhold.

Wanda actually siphoned/absorbed Captain Marvel’s powers temporarily when she was fighting her, draining her which in turn made her way less durable that the statue would kill her. The movie’s producer said it last week.
