I honestly don't find series 11 worth the time for that much sitting. There are good episodes there, but only good or okay or just absolutely annoying. #spiders Twice Upon a Time is the finale of Doctor Who for me cuz I doubt the BBC will let the show actually return for real, Series 11 was only politics. It'll either continue that way until cancelation or they'll listen to the fans in a last ditch effort to get their viewership back. That's the only way I'll be merciful with canonicity, if they listen to the fans. Otherwise, series 10 was the end.

@@maxskellington910 *THIS* right here is a big problem. Whether you like Series 11 or not doesn't matter. He simply stated his opinion without any insults to anyone who disagreed. However, *you* retaliated with petty jabs at his personality which had *nothing* to do with the conversation. Differing opinions on Series 11 is fine and completely understandable. This toxicity is not. Practice what you preach.

@CP JD I agree. I hated Capaldi at first, but his last (EXTREMELY SJW) season actually was pretty enjoyable. I did hate all the propaganda in it like that London always has been heavily multicultural and that history is whitewashed and the complaining about the male ego and such, but story-wise I really preferred it over his first 2 seasons.

Rory went from a bumbling nurse to afraid to speak up against his supervisor in the first episode he is in, to "the Last Centurion" a 2000 year old warrior demanding an answer from one of the universes most feared warrior races... that's character development.

Remember during Tennants run of Rivers first two parter episodes?She punches the doctor to knock him out....now also remember during the big bang episode of season 5 finale,Rory punchs the doctor the EXACT same way River does! Like father like daughter!

Also in the two Library two parter the saying "The only water in the forrest is the River" works with that too, one of the episodes was called *FORREST* of the dead and the only water in the library (Forrest) was RIVER

Nope, her last words is what she says to Peter Capaldi's doctor, in their timeline that one amazing night is her last night cause its the only time ever that the Doctor cried with her cause he knows what's coming next, she even references the episode all the way back in the second part of the Silence In The Library 2-parter

The Colonel Runaway scene ranks right up there with the introduction of 11 where he asks if the Earth is defended, as far as amazing Matt Smith moments. He stops being the funny one for those moments.

I’ve been a HUGE whovian for over a decade and just now realised such a GLARING hint in this episode (an episode I’ve seen countless times). River literally says to Rory “It’s my birthday!” Now I don’t know how old Melody is in this episode (it’s hard to tell with movie/TV babies because they can never actually use newborns, so even newborns looks old), but for all we know she was just popped out. Hence it’s River/Melody’s birthday. How did I miss that, I feel like such an idiot.

The Matt Smith era "Face of Boe" reveal type of moment. Plus this episode makes her last moments in the Library make so much more sense. With The Doctor being so close to Amy and Rory and their daughter River it explains so much why when 10 says "Time can be re-written!" She replies "Not one line! Don't you dare! You've got all that to come!" It's not just for her sake but more for his knowing how close he would be to them she didn't want him to miss out on any of it.

That reaction to the River reveal was amazing ;). Not sure if anyone's ever asked Moffat this but i've long wondered if he deliberately cast a red-headed companion way back before series 5, knowing even then that it would fit with Alex Kingston's hair if he got a chance to tell this story. Such a good episode. Every character gets a chance to shine but it's a stand-out for Rory IMO.

The abduction of Amy had to take place during the months off-camera betwixt parts 1 and 2. She knew she was pregnant at the end of part 1 and was in the possession of the Silence before she got to the orphanage in part 2, after which she believed she'd been mistaken about her pregnancy.

This is why i really dislike it when channels pick and choose the episodes. Almost every episode of doctor who has something awesome in it, a conversation, a scene, a cameo...the trend of only reacting to certain episodes to catch up confuses me. Like, whats the rush? You’re gonna feel gutted when you’re caught up and have to wait over a year for the next series.

I get it, it can takes HOURS per episode to get caught up and for someone like me who likes to binge watch TV shows having to edit every single one of those episodes while also watching the show is a bit too much, especially while also watching and editing multiple other series at a time. But at the same time, I would've loved to watch her reaction to a lot of episodes she watched without us.

I love how you recognized the “only water in the forest is the river” line, but it didn’t yet click what she meant! So awesome, watching you get it, I was spoiled! Hey, you were right! The TARDIS was referring to River Song! I love how they seeded this, even playing with how the language of the forest isn’t always a great translation. The Doctor meaning warrior to Lorna’s people. I have to wonder if Amy’s last name being Pond was luck, or had Moffat been planning things all along? I mean, he created River, he wrote the episodes with Ten that she was in. Does he just like water names? Or did he know all along who he wanted her to be, and picked a name for the Doctor’s companion that could be an easy mistranslation just to keep the mystery?

All jokes aside, Moffat really does specialise in setting up absolutely brilliant cliffhanger-style episode endings that leave you wanting more - a trick he doubtless learned from Classic Who, when each episode in any particular story always ended on a cliffhanger (sometimes literally!) - the question usually is, will he stick the landing this time? (I'd say he definitely did on this occasion at least, but we'll see what Future Shayla has to say about it in the next video, yes?)

I liiive for stuff like this!!, those callbacks that seemingly come out of nowhere, like a puzzle piece that suddenly fits and makes the entire picture take form... this is why i loved this season so much and why Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor.

I am so glad you did not see that coming because your reaction was phenomenal. I totally agree with how you ended this one and went straight into the next episode, I would have done the same thing. And now you can see as to why River Song is my favorite character, and her and the doctors timelines is what makes it super interesting. @@Novaximus the way I understood it from what Steven Moffat said Amy was taken a little bit before they went to America. Unfortunately, it sounds like the Amy that got stuck and left behind was the real Amy.

One thing I think is really cool...rewatch the scene when Rory and River first talk. In hindsight, it comes off like an excited girl telling her father about the date she just had.
