Best written Christmas special. ''Silence is all you know~'' You can practically hear Moffat winking.

Not only is this probably the best Christmas ep of Doctor Who, it's one of the very best episodes full stop! Katherine Jenkins' singing is so beautiful.

There was a Lockdown choir that got together and sang 3 of Murray Golds original songs. This was the final one. So beautiful. Check out the Lockdown choir Abigail’s Song.

Ah. One of my favourites of Matt's era. Hope you enjoy. The fish swimming around the lamppost is a very Magritte image.

Gosh I LOVE this Xmas special. My favorite right after a later special. This one still makes me cry, such beautiful music and a beautiful Christmas Carol inspired story.

One of the best adaptations of the Dickens classic, one of Moffat's greatest and most inspired writings ever, and by a long shot the most magical and most Christmassy of the Who Specials.

There are some fun (and also sad) ways that Kazran and Abigail's story parallel the Doctor and River's story.

I will say, this special has some of my favorite lines of Doctor Who: "Christmas Eve on a rooftop, saw a chimney, my whole brain just went: "What the hell!"" "I think you'll find I'm a mature, responsible adult." "...That's just a bunch of wavy lines." "Ah. It's shorted out. Finally, a lie too big." "I think you waited a bit too long, didn't you. Hoarding my days like an old miser." "Marilyn? Get your coat!"

My favorite of the Christmas Specials

This. This is the best Christmas Special. It is all the things.

Abigail’s song is about Silence. Carrying on the theme of silence from series 5

Series 6 probably has my favourite episodes of the show, although series 9 is my overall favourite. Moffat at his best for me.

My fav xmas special. Matt was amazing in this and i felt he had completely found his Doctor at this point

This story is 14 years old this year and imo we still haven't had a better Christmas special - heck it's up there as one of the best episodes full stop.

Loved this. How good was Michael Gambon? Glad you enjoyed it. It's defo one of the best. (That and Last Christmas are belters imo)
