AS an American I agree any attempt to Americanize the show would be AWFUL!! It would piss me OFF!! I love it because its so British and wibbly wobbly!!
@@tanishasarup1274 the show now follows a lot of the typically American codes for these types of TV shows. It’s very ‘Netflix’ if you will. And that change noticeably happened when Jodie started. In other words, it’s lost a lot of its British/BBC charm, and has shifted towards being a very low attention span program that spoon feeds you bite sized bits of information about the story to keep your attention (rather than keeping your attention naturally by making a GOOD tv show), which is very characteristic of your generic, overly-manufactured, run of the mill American ‘bingeable’ tv shows. And the overarching story is just a joke. It’s just so manufactured and forced, and it’s absolutely not canonical, literally if you take Jodie’s seasons as canon, it breaks so much stuff that IS canon from previous seasons.
I'm too scared to watch it, so I'm waiting for my newly whovian friend to catch up so I can watch it with her. I've cried over and over for the past few days, and I haven't even seen it yet!!
Oh my god this is so weird to watch when they're all trying to get america into it lol now it's like Matts era has been the biggest in america ever of all doctor who !
I have been a huge American fan of Doctor Who since the 70's. Even in Los Angeles growing up NOBODY had even heard of it. It's fabulous to finally see it embraced by our media and viewers. And apparently now, DW actually depends on American viewership in its numbers. It's awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Actually, a lot of celebrities enjoy NYC because people can't be bothered. It is very likely that she gets recognized but people don't approach her. A lot of celebs have praised NYC for that reason.
If I saw matt smith walking down the street I would involuntarily either look around for a tardis or a weeping angel, or Dalek, or little black cubes from the sky.
When my class took the ferry around the statue we were basically alone so i yelled, "EVERYONE STARE AT THE STATUE, AND NO ONE BLINK!" as i rocked back and forth.
They have all the Doctor Who merchandise at the f.y.e. stores and they have the fan mags at every pharmacy! Everybody in my grade is a who fan. America loves Doctor Who!
This pretty much just makes me REEEEAAAALLLY super jealous though cause more than anything I want to meet them! My life would be fully complete if I did!
Haha that is awesome! I did say in later comments that some of my friends from my school like Doctor Who. I also don't live on the east coast, I live in California so it is quite possible it is different over there than here.
